I pull for every SEC team playing a game outside the conference except Auburn. My favorite SEC teams other than Bama are Florida, LSU, TxA&M and USC.

You take this interneting too seriously.

I like most of the SEC. I don't always pull for certain teams because frick Auburn (and Tennessee).

It's fun when LSU loses because of the dumbasses on this board. Other than that, I don't dislike LSU at all.

You would love to have every fanbase hate your team. It means your team is dominating.

So I hope you're not basing your opinion around a message board it's literally called the Sec Rant. Most fans are hospitable in real life vs the over the top shenanigans daily on this board. I don't hate or worry about any fam base, I do pull for Sec schools in OOCs and bowl games.

Nobody else here gets trolled harder than Bama fans. Take your victim mentality back to tiger rant bro.

Ed Zackery. The only thing that matters is who does Bama play this week. Once that game is over then you don't matter one way or the other.

So, I would love to hear from Alabama fans, wanting to come to a consensus as to why you seem to have such a need to slam/disparage/troll the rest of the SEC fanbases here, to the point of alienating those fanbases from even supporting Alabama as the SEC representative in the playoffs.

It very well could be that it is only a small portion of your fanbase does that, acknowledging that every fanbase (believe me, as an LSU alum, I know) has its dickheads, for whatever reason, e.g., they escape an otherwise cruddy existence when their college football team is winning. Or, it could be that I am just wrong about the rest of the SEC fanbases, i.e. they actually *haven't* gotten so weary of the Bama fans that they don't even support Bama as the SEC representative.

In any case, I expect that those very fans mentioned above will attempt to slam/disparage/troll this very thread, and, of course, I'm good with that. Just hoping that we SEC fans as a whole can find good reasons to pull for Alabama in the playoffs, contra to the impression that we may be getting from the majority of the posts here from Alabama fans.

Apologies for the length of this post.

Alabama is the SEC. Without Alabama's stats over the many, many decades, the SEC would not be much better than the ACC.

Alabama fans don't feel like any of you are worthy of speaking to us. If you do speak, it should only be to praise Alabama and thank her fans for supporting the best college football team to ever play the sport.

When an auNeck or a Tennesse or Georgia or Florida, etc... fan imagines they have a right to discuss football with an Alabama fan, it upsets us.

We dislike all of you because none of you have been historically good enough to discuss football with us.

Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Ohio State and teams like Michigan have fans who are on our level and whom we don't despise for existing like we do fans of other SEC teams.

My questions for the Bama fans who have no connection to the University either directly as an alumnus, legacy of an alumnus, family alumnus connection etc. Would you be Bama fans if they were just an average middle of the road SEC team? Will continue to be a loyal Bama fan if Saban all the sudden goes over the cliff and they start losing 4-6-8 games a year?

Now you may laugh and say that is not possible but it certainly could happen. Practically every power house program has gone through some hard times.

Just curious, that is all.

In bowl games I pull for all SEC teams, just cause. Otherwise I like to see SEC teams win OOC games. But I get a tingly, perverse happiness when Auburn, Tennessee and to some extent LSU struggle with and lose to lesser opponents, because its fun and I like it.

The whole premise of this line of reasoning is total bullshite.

What NFL team's college did you go to?

If you didn't attend the NBA's colleges in each of their respective states, are you still legitimately allowed to be an NBA fan?

If you did not attend Vegas Golden Knights University in Las Vegas, and graduate, can you still wear their gear without being sidewalk trash?

A much better question would be this:

If alumni and alumnae of colleges did not attend a particular college, would they even care enough to be a fan of that college's football team?

In my opinion, most would not and therefore aren't deserving of the term fan and drag down the rest of the true fan-base with their lackadaisical support.

As far as the Jawja Bulldogs are concerned, will they have any fans left at all after Smart fizzles out? We all know Georgia fans aren't very loyal and have irrational expectations for a team that has never really achieved anything other than that one magical time in history.

I am actually a State Alumnus so we can leave Jawja out of it. I was just curious.
I have a friend who is originally from DC but became Bama fan during the Bear’s time and has remained loyal throughout. I am cool with that. He stuck with the team even when they were down and out.

Bringing up pro teams has nothing to do with this. Now I get it that each and every person can decide who they want to cheer for. It is their own opinion. But you can use an analogy with a pro team. A lot of Yankee fans exist just because some want to follow a winner. Same with Bama, some people want to follow a winner. And that is okay. I just wondered if they would stick with the team if they start losing?

My dad has had season tickets since the 80's. I was the first person in my family to attend UA.

And BDS was still usually sold out early-mid 2000's.

My opinion of other fanbases is that they are all inbred losers, and I don’t want you rooting for Alabama, because I’m certainly never going to root for you.

Phukk the SEC, Phukk this “gotta root for the SEC” movement. I hope every SEC team besides Alabama burns in hell.

I think the l8u fans do a good job of alienating themselves, spouting shite like "We Coming" "We Riding", then shite the bed every year. As SEC fans we are sick of this shite.

I don’t give a dang what any other fan base thinks. No care at all.
