Grand juries will indict a ham sandwich as the saying goes.

The DA doesn't present cases to the GJ if they don't think they'll ultimately get a conviction, not for something like agg assault. Do you realize how few cases ever even make it to trial? You wonder why? (And it's not because charges are dropped for lack of evidence). This arrest happened last summer. This means Thompson has turned down whatever plea he's already been offered. Now he has been indicted and will be offered another plea. The DA clearly isn't going to dismiss the case at this point. So clearly this is something that should be worrisome to anyone. Unless you have intimate knowledge of his file and what evidence the DA has, saying it's nothing is very ignorant.

Why take a plea if you're innocent?

Beat the rap.

Just like Jalen Mills he won't miss any time. And he won't have to get his gf to take the blame.

If this guy couldn't play football he'd be called a dindu by many of the posters who defend him.

If he was involved in the beating of this kid that caused permanent physical injury, he needs to go to jail and for a long time. The common law legal term for what happened to the victim is lynching. If 4 white kids did this to a black kid, they'd be in federal prison for a decade.

Calm down, guy. It's not like he had a huge bag of weed and a stolen hand gun or anything.

This guy seems to get in mostly for mop-up duty, but I've watched some of him and he is a headhunter. Bama may not need him much this year, but with all they are losing from that secondary after this season, they will need him next year. He looks like he has all the makings of being another good safety at Bama.

The Capstone needs to step up here and ensure that he stays in the fold.

That’s not how it works.

That’s also not how this works.
