Alabama redshirt sophomore DB Deionte Thompson has been indicted on felony aggravated assault charges for a spring break beach brawl on a Texas beach.

According to The Beaumont Enterprise newspaper, a grand jury returned indictments against Thompson, 20, and three others last week.

The indictments allege that Thompson and three other men caused “serious bodily injury to Noah Frillou by striking or hitting or kicking Noah Frillou with the hand or foot,” according to the report.

Frillou, the alleged victim, was hospitalized after the brawl, including having his jaw wired shut and four permanent plates put in his face, per the report.

The incident happened on March 18 and the arrests came a month later. All four, including Thompson, posted bond in April.

Thompson has played in all eight of Alabama’s games this season, making 12 tackles

He might get suspended for the opening kick-off vs. LSU.

And his charge will amount to nothing, but I'm sure you will say the REC reaches to the Texas judicial system.

The only evidence is that in the video of the assualt. One of the attackers was a guy wearing a white hat. He was seen earlier wearing a white had so it had to be him. I think that is the extent of the evidence that Ive seen, but I am sure more will surface soon.

I don't think Bama would be playing him if there was something there.

The garbage time he will miss this Saturday when Alabama is up by 4 touchdowns could really hurt us in the playoffs. This is a little concerning, tbh.

If that was true he wouldn't have been indicted with a felony today.

Yeah...because no one has ever beaten a felony assault charge before.

Wonder what blacks would do if four whites did this to a black kid? I'm guessing massive riots and looting.

So you're familiar with his case file? The DA doesn't bring felony charges he's not confident about prosecuting. So clearly it is more than "nothing" or he wouldn't have been indicted. It's not a difficult concept. If it was so clear charges would have been dropped or reduced a long time ago.
