BAMA's marquee OOC Schedule under coach Nick Saban

That entire OOC was made before Saban arrived, so I've been told, Dipshit

2007 - Florida State
2008 - Clemson ranked
2009 - VaTech - ranked #7
2010 - Penn State ranked #18
2011 - @Penn State ranked 23 (Whiteout)
2012 - Michigan ranked #8
2013 - VaTech
2014 - West Virginia
2015 - Wisconsin - ranked #20
2016 - USC - ranked #20
2017 - FSU - ranked #3
2018 - Louisville
2019 - Duke
2020 - All-SEC Schedule

Then when pressed on a WEAK AF schedule did Saban say "Nobody wants to play us"?

Just to be clear, in 2012-2018 "Nobody wants to play us" wasn't referring to the 2022-2032 schedule...I know Paparwasp likes to do that.

Hey, Einstein, tell us about the time LSU played Wisconsin in a neutral site game?

Whatcha all mad at me for, did saban not tell the press that "nobody wants to play us"...take it up with him. Guess he was lying.

But since you asked:

07 - Vtech
08 - shite
09 - @ Washington
10 - North Carolina & West Virginia
11 - Oregon & at West Virginia
12 - Washington & Idaho
13 - TCU
14 - Wisconsin
15 - Syracuse
16 - Wisconsin
17 - BYU & Syracuse
18 - Miami
19 - Texas
20 - All-SEC Schedule
*didn't look at Box score to see who was ranked at the time.

You were lied to. Only the Penn State series and the 2007 Florida St. game was scheduled prior to Saban’s arrival.

Alabama’s insistence on neutral site games is why it was difficult to schedule marquee games as time went on.

Wow! I remember watching BC vs. Alabama back in the 80s when he was there. My primary memory from the game is Frank Broyles talking the whole time about how "awayuh" (translation: "aware") Flutie was of his surroundings. Don't ask me why I remember that; it's probably because I'd rather remember that than to remember him lighting Bama up.

Don't think has anything to do "insisting" on anything. It the fastest and most efficient was to schedule big name OOC opponents.

Hell, look how far off they had to schedule a school like BC just to get a home and home.

Check out State's and get back with me

2023-Arizona
2024-@Arizona State
2025-Arizona State
2026-@Minnesota
2027-Minnesota
2028-Texas Tech
2029-@Texas Tech
2030-Washington State
2031-@Washington State

Just kidding, but we do have some interesting road trips and P5 teams we should compete with. Again, better than a directional Sun Belt/CUSA school or something.

It was great the first several years. But the games lost luster as of late. Some of them were agreements with opponent to be named later. And filling the 2019 Chick-fil-A Kickoff with Duke was absurd.

With Saban retirement date set, looks like all these teams are hopping on board to play the Tide
Oklahoma St home and home
Boston College home and home

Subtract 4 from 2028 and Saban's last season will be 2024 so he can make sure recruits think he will be there four more years

It is weird looking at something specifically scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2034.

The kids who will be playing in that game are in grammar school right now.
