The Strip is now diverse.. The Tuscaloosa government has worked hard for this.

More likely is was the basketball team causing it.

Why would we be upset that he continues to beat the hell out of LSU as per Alabama tradition?

Fact of the day: Kalen Deboer had as many CFP appearances this past season as LSU does in the 132 year history of their football program. He had 1 more than Auburn’does.

Fun fact: LSU's playoff appearance resulted in a National Championship, not embarrassment.

Let's take a gander at DeCline's postseasons with the Tide:

1) lost bowl game to Michigan... again.
2) Lost to Georgia in SECCG and had negative rushing yards.
3) Finally managed to beat Oklahoma (honestly though.. neither of these teams belonged in the playoffs)
4) Was completely destroyed by Indiana in every facet of the game. 38-3. And the score was closer than the game was.

Ed Orgeron has had more success than DeCline has had in the post season. Demolished Georgia and Oklahoma, and brought home a trophy.

DeCline is about to start his 3rd season as a head coach with an NCAA team for the first time.ever. At any level.

It's kind of humorous that y'all will be the guinea pig for discovering if he can actually build a program (or sustain what someone else already built).

Call me crazy, but I don't believe he's a Les Miles caliber coach.

So beating LSU is Alabama's benchmark for success?

A-Day has become the Carnival Cruise Lines of Bama games which is why attendance is way down.

It is captdalton's personal benchmark for success.

He's in for a rough decade. Or more.

Sounds like Nate Oats had some recruits in town

These aren’t students or common fans causing trouble. It’s the out of town trouble makers who don’t give a shite about football and just want to be seen.

I made a comment about the type of people on the strip I noticed walking back to my car after the '24 game and was basically called an idiot or a racist. As someone who has been to campus dozens of times but not recently (til '24) it was clearly obvious there had been a major change in the type of people hanging out after dark.

The strip is mostly corporate restaurant chains with the handful of bars that had enough clout to survive.

I’m old enough to remember Mike DuBose and Shula. So, I’m happy it’s not down in those depth. I appreciate that you hold our program to such an impossibly high standard.
