Congratulations to you, (this is not a Killer Miller thread).

Just curious when the last time a team received the #1 overall seed and the team that finished #2 in the same conference and #2 in conference tournament was a 7 seed?

Now, agreed I'm not an Alabama fan, nor A&M fan, just seriously curious how this could happen happen? When 3 other teams are seeded equal or better?

No idea…
I wonder where A&M would be if they had not waited until conference play to figure it all out.

So Pre Conference matters?(November-early December)more than what happen this week?

If you are asking if the months of November and December matter more than the first week of March conference tournaments.

Yes.

Multiple incredibly bad losses don't wash off easily in college basketball.

So aggy being a 7 follows the same logic at the gales play up in nov-dec and do not lose to Q3 and Q4 teams at home during this time.

Let’s see, they gripe one year about being left out then gripe the next year about being included. They just need to drop the sport altogether…

They think losing in the finals of the sec-t is a respect earning accomplishment.

Win it and they are guaranteed to be in, lose and you learn how much it really doesn't matter.

Soft.

Charmin soft, with losses compiled.

If you schedule soft, you can't lose, Buzz should know this by now. Aggy fans think everyone schedules as soft as them as they have no idea how to judge other than the names on the jerseys.

The #1 seed lost to 15-17 Oklahoma by 24 points, so ya lets see talk bad losses

Also the #1 seed lost to # 7 seed A&M on 3-4-23, if they are such a shite sandwich.

I'm just saying they got their shite together and not a #7 seed if they are then Alabama is not #1, based on what has happened in conference and conference tournament.

Aggy lost to Murray State, Boise State, Colorado, Memphis, and, Wofford. Let's not pretend the had a stellar record lacking bad losses this year. If not for the conference record they would be in the nit right now.

Listen we can agree to disagree, but if you can't see A&M was shite on the seeding, then OK.

That's why we play the games, Alabama #1 overall? why the team in second place is # 7??? You don't find this odd?

OK,

It all matters.

Texas A&M has 2 Q4 losses
Losing to Murray State was bad
Losing to Wofford at home was brutal
Texas A&M non-conference schedule is ranked 247th

The committee will punish teams for horrid non-conference schedules. Alabama got skipped over entirely despite winning 20+ games a few years ago because our non-conference SOS was pathetic. Haven't made that mistake again.

I'm not justifying what the committee did; I am saying that this wouldn't be the first time they punished a team for playing an absurdly easy non-conference schedule.

Gotta agree with Dale here. This is where you begin to build your resume. Everything else is maintained throughout the season. But I think winning or doing well in your league tournament holds more weight than we think. At least it should.
