Nobody in history would "destroy" 2011 Alabama. That defense had no equal, not even 92 Bama.

Nebraska 95 would win, I believe, but it would be much more like the 9-6 type game than anything resembling "destroy"

Definitely Nebraska. Every team knew what they were going to do and no one could stop them.

95 Nebraska would've destroyed any of these Bama teams IMO.

Best team in the history of CFB.

The answer to this is unequivocally, without any room for argument, 2001 Miami. Always. Without a doubt. If you don't answer 2001 Miami when asking who is the best team in the history of CFB, your opinion doesn't matter.

2001 Miami struggled in a few games that year. 1995 Nebraska blew away every team they played, and that includes FOUR opponents that finished in the final AP Top 10.

A team where Vince Wilfork and KII can't get reps because of more talent ahead of them. You are on cocaine if you don't think they could beat any team. Should have had back to back titles with Larry Coker at the helm. The link speaks for itself.

Larry Coker. They aren't the best coached, just the best top to bottom 1-120. You simply cannot find a more complete, deep roster than what they had.

Easy to say in hindsight with all of that 1st round NFL talent. The Florida Gators were seen as the better team all season long until they lost to Tennessee in that make-up game at the end of the year.

01 Miami gets inflated because of all the eventual NFL talent.

Nebraska was ranked #1 going into the bowls. That assertation makes no sense.

This thread is stupid. LSU from this season would destroy 1995 Nebraska. They had a bunch if slow white dudes back then

I grew up watching those nebraska teams and thinking that was the pinnacle of football excellence but bama's D last year was far and away the best I've ever seen.

And it should've been 4/5 for Nebraska. William Floyd fumbled!

I'll assume you weren't paying much attention to Nebraska in 1995. They scored no less than 35 points in any game all year, that offense was unstoppable.

Tommie Frazier, Lawrence Phillips, Ahman Green - greatest backfield to ever grace a power option offense. Had Phillips not been suspended for much of the year he more than likely would have won the Heisman.
