Nebraska was better. They didn't even have close games.

Not to mention Nebraska's defense was pretty damn good too. Most of the points they gave up during that year were in the 2nd half when the game was already decided.

Exactly. The defense, the coaches, and hell even the fans knew what they were going to do on offense and they dared teams to stop them because they knew no one would.

How many points did LSU score last year, outside the two Alabama games? 41 points per game. And that's against a very very formidable schedule. They scored 9 points in two games PLUS an overtime against that defense.

You can make all the arguments you want, but to believe that last year's Alabama team would have held 95 Nebraska under 20 is a very reasonable assessment...maybe even under 14. But last year's Bama team would have struggled mightily to score, especially with Nebraska's ball control offense.
