Hate to drag Saban into it but that's his philosophy on defense too. Esp. in the secondary

I'm still trying to figure out how UConn managed to sneak a win over Auburn.

It wasn't at home. Early. We had not gelled yet. And Flannigan was hurt.

This might be a top 10 dumbest statements ever said on this board - and that's an impressive feat.

I think a lot less of early losses like that than I would if it were to happen right now.

Big, physical guards and Sanogo combined with an early season game. They were a wake up call for this team in terms of physicality.

Exactly man. That's why I think that big game you guys put on against us last year just aint happening this season.

Probably not, but I think LSU has problems of their own to work out.

It was early in the season and the team was coming together. It was played in a tourney setting out of the country. UConn isn’t bad.
AU is beatable at times, first half of ole miss game, all of mizz game, first bama game.

Pfft. this season man ... yeah better than last but when you watch a team like this now (Auburn), you know you're still behind ... a lot.

We are good but the game is only 1/2 done. Strange things happen, especially to us Auburn peeps.

3rd game of the season for a whole new line up plus their big man dominated inside like the kid from UF did against us. They also hit a low percentage buzzer beater to force the 1st OT

Maybe to a certain extent, but there are a million ways a defense can disrupt the passing game. Our basketball defense is simply all over the place and is doing, and has done, little to effectively disrupt the offense.

AU was still trying to figure out their rotation Team wasn't used to playing with each other yet.

We obviously JUST played Baylor what, 3 days ago? And we didn't play all that much different Saturday than we are tonight. Auburn's so much more diverse and athletic than Baylor is.

The only situation where I can see Auburn struggling and getting in trouble is a team that keeps them out of the lane and lulls them into dribbling around and taking crazy long shots consistently (which they can fall into lulls of doing at times).

They're good... but we have JQ and Ellis shooting 2 for 15 and Auburn are getting every call with 20 free throws in one half.

I mean damn..

If we had anyone who could actually score consistently or hit an open shot not named Shackleford we would be in a very close game.

Yeah this one’s still nowhere close to over. Bama has shown they can easily go on a big run and we’ve shown we can easily go on some serious scoring droughts.

Man it's always cool when you're on the losing side and say nice things about the good team... and the good team is like ... well way too long to go just yet ... Sign of great things man
