Stetson whipped your teams butt while your QB was being held up like a rag doll.I see that loss is still smarting.

Can you read? Did you not see the accolades?

Those are individual trophies, not team trophies.

You just hate that a walk on had such success for some strange reason.

Stafford did little for GA, go look at his stats and record with the teams he played with

AJ McCarron won back to back NC's as the starting QB, finished second in the Heisman race and was a part of one of the greatest runs in college football history. But he's left off, and Jay Barker is on there? LOL!

Not quite. 2 SEC titles and 1 was because Florida was on probation.

Hasn't played a snap in an SEC game in almost 30 years, so it was before the game became as offense friendly as it is, now.

Currently ( SEC Career Rank):

#6 on career Passing Yards
#5 on Passing Touchdowns

If the later, Stetson is probably #1 on that list since he did the following:

no one is saying stetson is a bad qb lmao

Stetson got to play with a NFL roster- I'm sure his entire starting offense and defense are playing in the NFL right now.

UGA whooped up on a LSU team that had like 4- NFL starters on offense and none on defense

But it was not him...plenty of QBs could have done it easily..

You had a players at every position that were amazing. Besides weirdly QB. Not sure why...but AJ was average and is not remotely the reason for Alabama's dominance.

That's what everybody says....AJ McCarron, the most average QB to ever win back to back NCs, win the Maxwell Award, The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, The Kellen Moore Award and make first team All- American.

Stetson winning 2 puts him top of list. Bonus points for playing for his childhood team as a walk on

He had tons of time because of a top tier Oline, an amazing RB, and pro recievers, and one of the best CFB coaches ever, not to mention a top-tier defense. Does not get easier then that...most starting Div 1 QBs could easily do that. He is average at best.

He was taken in the fifth round...the NFL scouts agree he isn't great, but you know more than them. Those loser do not know more than you! You know Football better then all the scouts, experts, coaches etc..

Average QBs don't get drafted. Average QBs don't win national awards. Average QBs don't get voted first team All-American by the AFCA (American Football Coaches Association).

Every Division 1 head coach got a vote and AJ received more votes than anybody including the likes of Jameis Winston, Johnny Manziel and Derek Carr.

This clearly hurts but AJ McCarron was way above average as a college quarterback. Learn it, live it, love it.

Stetson Bennet should be top 5. Cam Newton should be in here somewhere. Fromm and Stafford being in is hilariously bad and proves the robots aren’t taking over. Yet.

I’d say he was a great game manager and an above average overall QB. He was not special and won games by not making many mistakes and having the best individual units every time he stepped onto the field. I won’t fault a man for having the best players around him but I also won’t anoint him as an all-timer when his team clearly carried him.

Love seeing all of the mutt fans get butthurt over your comments.

Smart’s 2 titles were all Bennett. He singlehandedly carried those teams and covered for a lot of weaknesses that would have easily been exposed had he left earlier.

They have a super easy schedule this year and will get smashed against whoever they play in the SECCG.

Might be tad hyperbolic. 2021 had one of the best defenses of all time and ‘21 and ‘22 had best tight end of all time in Bowers. Bennett was severely underrated though.

I'm not trying to say that he was some kind of generational QB. My point was that he wasn't "average at best". Like you said, he was a great game manager but he was also capable of putting up numbers when needed.

Against A&M in 2013, Bama couldn't just play ball control and hope that the defense could somehow stop Manziel. They needed production from the QB. AJ threw for 334 yds, 4 TDs and a completion percentage of 76.9%. He was no Tua or Bryce Young but he was good regardless of the talent around him.
