Not sure

Maybe he does help us out.

Also a great bonus to have his brother the next 3-4 years.

He didn’t get much support last season so hard to know where his upside ends. I like him a little bit but he’s probably not going to be a game breaker.

I still think King will start, but I’m less sure.

He transferred after the year had ended and the coaching staff was fired.

I would possibly leave my job as well if management was fired and a new group was brought in so it's hard for me to criticize Max for that.

He also wanted to start and there wasn't a clear path to that at LSU.

I didn't know that he stopped being a member of the team when the season ended?

I think he was told his position as starting qb wasn't written down in stone when Kelly came in and didn't want to have to work for it. Or at least that's the way it seems to me.

Jimbo will play the QB that has the best chance of winning games.

Weigman is the best of the 3 and Jimbo has admitted that he's learning the offense quickly. Connor should start if for no other reason to set us up with experience for 2023 and 2024.

But he did quit. He was the starting QB, opted out of the bowl game and transferred to a "rival" program. He's not on the same level as Rick's but he's in the same category.

Why shouldn't a kid be allowed to transfer?

That isn't "quitting."

By that token, Joe Burrow quit on Ohio State.

Max Johnson was the starting qb. Burrow was not going to ever play

Verifying. Due to statistical analysis and probability based on this board's recent history, this post is the beginning of a shite slinging exercise populated by lsu and texas fans.

There was no shite slinging until you got in here

Max Johnson was absolutely not the starting quarterback.

Curious to see what Jimbo can do with him.

Don’t know, but damn, I wouldn’t count on his brother not starting.

Max looked the most reliable in the Spring game but Weigman has the most upside. King looked like shite throwing the ball but he's one of the fastest guys on the team and Johnson is not as mobile.

All 3 are better than Calzada but Weigman looks like the only one with elite potential.

I believe Haynes has a higher upside to his game but Max may be more consistent with his performance
