Who owns “UT”?

Asking for a Texas friend; once they move to the SEC, who will retain “UT” as their abbreviated name. I am telling him Tennessee will because a) they have tenure in the conference and b) they are an older school. What will the majority fan base say? ...

I actually don’t think it will bring in that much money, but should bring the student athletes nice checks for interviews....
