No coach is going to ignore verified 22.5 mph top end speed on a 6 ft frame. They can add 12 lbs to a kid in 1 yr and not lose speed.

Alot of great advice above... good luck and hope he gets alot of offers! Keep us updated down the road

Just like in a business, there's a certain way to carry yourself. If you get emotional and can't carry yourself in a professional demeanor, you shouldn't be in a role like that. I'd imagine their looking at all possible avenues to improves men's bb, but with the buyout, what they just spent on football, may take a yr or so longer. You support your house, while looking at all options. Two things can be true
A goal is long term, the trend has been fantastic. And they should be cutting rates because of that trend. High rates were due to runaway inflation from the last regime.. Hopefully the fed cuts 2 times in the next 4 months, because they have every excuse to now. Job #'s haven't been bolstering either, the other concern if they can cut rates or not. Job market cant be too hot.
Its worse because you care less about 1 yr players. Program you build is similar to an nfl system of revolving door, and players have 0 commitment to a program, university, staff, etc. If they care less, it's common sense that the fans will care less. Its great for 1 yr attempt to rebuild, but 3 years of rebuilding through the louisiana high school ranks is a part of what made great seasons mean more. And teams didnt fall apart with 40-50 departures if a coach left, due to the limitless transfers.

Portal portion of this era is literally the problem, not even the nil. If they add sitting 1 year out if you transfer back in, it fixes the biggest issues with the current system. Agents can't leverage every school every year for the same kid. If johny cant help other programs day 1 of transfer, schools will focus on rewarding their current players, and developing ones they have given serious $$ too.
Won the sec west, had an electric heisman winner, and 2 of the best wrs to ever put on the jersey. Could of been alot worse my man.
Jayden Daniel's was best deep ball thrower in ncaa history, and running qb maybe in cfp history, and we sucked. 1 dude can't make a team, or an entire offense. Oline was horrific, and oc was somehow worse. They weren't even doing sleds for oline drills until sec sideline guy called out their shite technique.
Let me know 5 qbs starting next yr with better natural arm talent, or pre snap read adjustments in cfp.

Was hurt and pair it with dog poo oline and oc, nightmare
I've appreciated the quality of deportations... since it's been heavy focus to anyone with criminal records, and then suspected criminal involvement from any of the federal agencies.

Whats amazing is if the media covered Obama ice deporting and border cages the same way, he'd look like a 3rd world dictator compared to trumps approach.
Definately expect some end arounds, or deep shot looks here and there for him. Probably only 1 every game or 2 since alot of mouths to feed at wr and te. Especially since in lanes offense hes going to have a 3rd or 4th cb, safety, or olb on him.. could be what Hilton was supposed to be taking the top off defenses, or just do it once and keep them honest any time hes on the field, and helps the run game. Great problem to have at wr : his film is great
Couldn't be more spot on. Well said
I think it's their class as of this year... add a year to each of the above.
Had a good first few years with roster he was left. Wheels fell off since he didnt develop an oline and gave oc job to a qb coach he thought he was getting #1 qb recruit because of.

Where it got worse was when he started acted like it was acceptable to run for 1-3 yards a carry at home, against not just Florida, but cupcake teams. And calling fans spoiled. When you make 10mm and have top 5-7 resources in nation, need to stfu and coach better.

Just expecting to see a similar defense, maybe slight drop losing best s and cb in nation. But an improved offense that can score 25 in sec games, but more importantly, avoid 3 and outs / sustain drives better even when they don't score. So many games was the defense having to be perfect to win.

50 new faces will be tough to blend in year 1, but I expect we see improvement on offense.

Record wise, yes we all want to win 10 games, but building the roster, and getting scheme and system in place can take time with so many new faces. Also a schedule that's just nuts every year. As long as he has us competing for playoff by year 3 we'd all be happy. If it comes before that, then that's amazing.

Last year was hardly watchable on offense, and 2020 and 23 same on defense. I'd like to just have each side be respectable, and whatever record that is, so be it. More enjoyable to watch
One of the top qb, wr, te, g, de , s, are all in state next year class. So yes it matters. Its how you build the team. And then portal adds become just big adds, or depth.

Qb- we lose Leavitt if he has a good year. Houston fills
Wr- lot of 1 yr left kids added so royal can come spalsh as a fr day 1
Te- green goes to nfl if he has a 10 td season. Nfl scouts would salivate over him. Hudson is his clone, even bigger frame.
G- bah is gone next yr, and lake Charles kid is immediately is competing in our 2 deep.
De- forstall is needed. We lose ross, prince if he comes.
S- Eugene and anding help fill depth when we lose cooley and boise kid.

Lane came here because of LA talent pool. It'll be huge framework to building his program long term

Top 2 are elite and would start at almost every sec program. Next 2 are highly touted recruits in yr 2 and 4. Maybe a mature depth body will be added. Or play young fr 3rd string

We added the boise safety because spears is great in coverage and plays nickel db quite often. Cooley and boise are s and allows spears to be the 3rd safety. Then you have anding and brown. Same rotation as this year, except anding replaces woodlands role. Woodland replaces delane

I think Woodland had a better year then pickett. Pickett missed alot of tackles. We're lucky to have both
We didnt pay to keep ross and braiker to have them sit the bench. They will play... id only expect a mature depth piece at lb to compete. Not a starter role.

Someone mentioned this guy wasn't very good yesterday. No clue personally

I'm genuinely shocked how successful we've been in the portal. I expected solid adds, but if he reels in Harper and Colorado ot, it would be like hand picking kids. Great roster management so far, and they still have to go practice, mesh, play and win games. Just impressed by it, and definately a better off-season 1 then expected.
