As garbage as Jimbo was in College Station, he left that shithole in a better place.
Jimbo went 45-25, at a 64% win rate he helped aggy increase their all time win% to 60.5.

The problem wasn't Jimbo, Sumlin, or Sherman and it won't be the next coach either
The problem is that A&M is a loser program
A&M's natural ceiling is 7-5 (meaning every 4 or 5 years, when the stars align they go 7-5). The fact that Jimbo had them out performing that regularly speaks volumes about his HC abilities.
If Jimbo or Sumlin had gone to LSU, Texas, Auburn, Ole Miss, OU, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina or even Kentucky they'd have won two natty's by now but A&M is a loser program. If they'd gone to Arkansas, Mississippi State, or even Mizzou they'd have made the playoffs by now.
