The date of the party might not be official, but the location appears to be locked in. Texas A&M athletic director Ross Bjork told the Houston Chronicle at the SEC spring meetings that Kyle Field will be home to the first meeting between his Aggies and the Texas Longhorns when the two old rivals renew their long-time feud as SEC opponents.

Well we play at LSU in 2025. So playing Horns at home that year makes sense. Slowest conference jump ever.

This isn't that big a deal.

The Longhorns should thank the SEC, including Texas A&M for allowing them to have a shot at relevance. I'm sure there will be some growing pains. And to think just a few short years ago any Longhorn would scoff at the SEC as they sat at the top of the heap in the Big 12.
Ooops, maybe not at the top of the heap.

If the Aggies lose I can see Kyle Field becoming Jim Jones 2.0

Hope this rivalry continues. Texas will find it’s footing as A$M has already done.

Does this mean a schedule format (or at least when Tx. & officially join) has been released to the schools?

Why would it be 2025? Isn't that when the current format ends?

Losing is an impossibility. That is when all of that bought raw talent will be peaking after a couple of years in college conditioning. Kyle Field is a good stadium and they are led by an excellent coa..... Oh wait. Hmmm..
we might want to hold off on the kool-aid restocking the weeks before the game.

Tickets will be $800+ in third deck. Field level will be record setting prices for a regular season game in history of college football.

Is it possible for something that is irrelevant to allow something to have a shot at relevance?

Perfect. Just like 2011, 100k Aggies crying in unison at Kyle Field.

One of my favorite traditions in sport, Midnight Cry Practice in College Station before the Texas game.

76-37-5

Can a series this lopsided be considered a rivalry?

Warning to Aggie: Don't drink the maroon Kool Aid before, during or after the traditional beat down.

All those sanctions and bowl bans and TV ban during the FedEx years were so totally worth it for aggy.
