There really wasn't a should between ND and Texas A&M. Either would have been justifiable IMHO.

Aggie went out and took care of business in their bowl game and will get a well deserved Top 4 finish and 10-1 season.

All that needs to be said, and also a first rounder on defense.

UNC team that was absolutely destroyed by Notre Dame

What?

14-14 end of 1st
17-17 halftime
24-17 end of 3rd

North Carolina had the ball 1st and 10 at Notre Dame's 41 with 7 minutes left down by 7 points. Notre Dame didn't put the game anyway until they scored a TD with 80 seconds left to go up 14 pts

How the hell is that being "absolutely destroyed"?

Neither of them belonged. But you had to put someone in.

UNC had possession with a chance to tie or take the lead on A&M with 3-4 minutes left in the game. Are you kidding me ?

I will also add to this by stating that ND beat the crap out of a fully equipped UNC. A&M beat UNC when it did not have its two best RB’s available. The RBs available did have 65 total career rushing yards.

Bama: They were down by 24 (and had been for a while) until a garbage TD with less than a minute left.

UNC: They took the lead for good over half way through the 3rd quarter, and their final margin came with 1:20 left in the game.

How are these that much different than the A&M games?

They aren't - A&M and Notre Dame are mirror images of each other, even down to their games against Alabama and UNC.

WHAT IN THE HELL DO PEOPLE KEEP SAYING THIS FOR

They won by 14 in basically the EXACT SAME WAY that A&M won by 14. The game was a 1 score game for 59 of the 60 minutes of the game that Notre Dame pushed to 14 pts with 1:20 left in the game........just like Texas A&M did.

No, it's not.

All this talk about UNC and their starting skills players, but overlooking the fact that the MVP of the game was a true freshman that got almost as many yards in the game as he had all season.

UNC had the ball in Notre Dame territory and a chance to tie the game with 6 minutes left.

After their last TD early in the 4th, the only time UNC passed the 50 was on a BS roughing the passer penalty. After that play, they lost 2 yards on 3 plays and punted. They had 39 yards of total offense after that last TD.

Are you kidding me?

A&M is also one of the few teams to play a full strength Bama offense with Waddle so there’s that as well.

Criteria for one of 4 playoff slots:
Undefeated P5 conference champion
1 lose P5 conference champs
1 loss P5 Conference title game loser

Non P5 undefeated conference champion

1 loss P5 non division winner

Start at the top and fill down til you get 4 teams.

IT. DOES. NOT. MATTER. you would get the same damn result.

31-14 Bama.
41-17 Bama. Something like this

I agree, in fact I started a topic to the effect I thought Aggie got ripped off. A 1 loss SEC > a 1 loss ACC team, especially since I believe if TLaw played, they beat ND both times (yes I know the backup played well).

However, it is probably better the way it worked out. Nice Orange Bowl win and momentum for recruiting/next season, vs. getting trashed by Bama and another reminder that you aren't "there" yet.

You're some dipshit Aggy's alter pretending to be an Alabama fan, change my mind.

Cried like a little girl & defended their shitty fans all night during their bowl game, and here now sucking them off some more.
