Texas - always will be even after the move to the SEC. Record is pretty even in the modern era

LSU - done pretty well against them over the years. Had our number recently

Arkansas - do we have a losing record against them? Pathetic if so

You have done pretty good vs us over the years?
We lead the series like 35-20
And you have only beaten us once since joining the sec.
Lol.
I thought Aggays had winning mindset?

Not only that but at peak aggie and trough razorback, most games still went to OT and you almost lost to Chard

In my lifetime, the records are:

vs. Arkansas: 13-12 A&M
vs. LSU: 12-7 LSU
vs. t.u.: 17-17
vs. South Carolina: 6-0 A&M

A&M grad here. Interesting question since we've been in 3 conferences in the past 30 years...the answer probably varies with what conference the Ags were in while you were in college.

1) Texas - two largest state schools...tons of grads all of both schools all over Texas. No denying they are historically the better program by like a 2-1 margin...hopefully one day they can resume the rivalry.

2) LSU - I wasn't around in the 80's/90's when this was competitive...they've definitely had A&M's number since we entered the conference. If A&M never resumes the game with Texas and we can win a few more games...this could develop into more of a rivalry especially with so many LSU grads in Houston these days.

3) Arky - Think it's a fun throwback game to the SWC that always seems competitive no matter the ranking next to XX school's name. I would compare this game to the Ole Miss/Arky rivalry thread last week...a good, fun second tier rivalry game. Glad we have it.

4) Baylor

When we joined the SEC, they told us South Carolina is our designated rival.

We actually don't like any of you and pretty sure the feeling is mutual.

Arkansas has accomplished much more than A&M in the modern era; the fact that after beating their mostly awful teams for the last eight years you still trail in the all time series by a wide margin should tell you something

I don't know about that . . . I have always liked the swine. A lot of Dallas families are alums and send there kids up to Fayetville for college.

When I really started loving college football (late 80s), Arkansas fielded really great squads and there were several epic A&M Arky games.

Quinn Grovey, James Rouse, and Barry Foster were all so fun to watch.

It has not been the same since those days but I always like the matchup.

But to the OP . . . .I don't now if A&M has a rival anymore.

In the Big 12, there were several games like Baylor and Tech that A&M fans did not consider rivalries but nevertheless were always really hilarious affairs. Texas obviously but most A&M fans don't really care about that game anymore.

LSU was never a "rival" . . . .it was just a geographically sensible out of conference game.

Anybody else remember Arkansas being relegated from their Thanksgiving rivalry game with LSU?

What do you consider the modern era? I'm assuming 1970-present??

If that's the case, A&M leads Arkansas in wins, win %, head-to-head, conference titles, Heisman winners, and all-americans since 1970.

If the LSU game was played almost exclusively in BR for 40 years, that should tell you about your status in the football universe. Legit football programs don’t play at a visiting stadium almost exclusively for 40 years.
