Actually, Mike #1 was kidnapped by some Tulane
students in 1950. They saw a vet's trailer with
Mike in it parked in front of a cafe where the
vet had made a stop---unhooked and hitched up the
trailer to their car and took off. The cops
retrieved Mike the next day & the leading kidnapper
was banned from the LSU campus for 50-years before
pardoned. Mike #1 died six years later, was stuffed
and is still on display at LSU.
