it looked pretty full on the A&M side.
NW was having trouble selling their allotment and don't have a very big fanbase as it is. That plus two 6-6 teams in a morning game on New Years Eve probably hurt sales.
even then, attendance was listed at 68,395 which is good for second best attendance in Houston/Texas Bowl history.

I was very close to the NW section, and I could still hear an SEC! SEC! from the aTm side. Frikin A. SEC.

I got free tickets from neighbor so he took me to the game (I was decked out in LSU garb) and the stadium announcer said they attendance was 69k - Reliant's capacity is 71,000. Ain't NFW that place was 97% full. Crowd was also very quiet, so you know I had to hack on the Aggie fans about that.
Was hoping for NW to come back, but nope.
