So when will it slow down? Will they continue to get top 10 classes? It seems that eventually that much talent becomes harder to deal with.

Objectively, speaking as an Aggie, and a math science guy, I am torn when considering how they will do.

On one hand they have been perennial mediocre. But on the other, there has never been a top class that didn’t win a title.

So, I struggle with what the tea leaves actually mean. Feel free to downvote.

But I am being as objective as possible.

I could tell you about my golf game. I was 2 over yesterday. Even on the front. Made a double on the back.

29 putts total. 85 percent GIR. 75 percent of fairways hit. 2 birdies. 2 bogies. The rest pars.

This just wrong, unless you are giving each 'top class' four years to win a title. There has never been a top class at A&M that won a title.

You can trust that Jimbo will put talent on the field good enough to compete on any given Saturday, but it takes something special to win a natty.

Yes, given 4 years, every top class has won a title. That’s it.

It will slow down if they continue to go 8-4 or the rest of the country can compete with NIL. You also have to consider that some of these high profile guys wont sit for long and will be looking for the next chance in the portal. It is hard to stock talent and keep it if you arent competing for titles or if they arent being developed in a way that will get them to the league. Not many can maintain like Bama or even UGA at the moment.

No, unfortunately it was a par five, with way more water than I could deal with. Driver into the water. Beautiful approach just under the green. Chip up, rolls off the back side, into water. Two penalties. Hence the double.

I would imagine the Shark will be contacting you soon with a nine figure signing bonus to join the LIV Tour.

That is absolutely not so.

You only have to look back to 2010, when UF was the composite #1 ranked class, to find a class that did not win a national title, and there are plenty of other examples. If not for the fact that Alabama was the composite #1 ranked team in recruiting from 2011 up to 2018 there would be more since 2010. Alabama is an outlier right now.

Great point. However, in all fairness, it should be noted that Florida changed coaches soon after that and the consistency of the program likely suffered. But technically, you are correct.

However, barring a coach leaving, I think it’s a pretty strong indicator, historically.

What are you talking about, BigSneezy?

Nobody wants to go to a small, all-male, military, ag college.

That’s not really even halfway funny. I am 10 strokes on average from my best game on a club course being even close to a professional level.

I actually have played a few pro courses, TPC course in SA, Torrey Pines and a few others and my best score on a pro course was a 79. Nowhere close to Q school.

A pro shoots mid to high sixties on these courses. 2 over on a club course isn’t close to that level.

For whatever reason 247 rankings aren't loading past 2010

In 2005 and 2006, USC was #1 in recruiting, but no title.

So recruiting the supposedly best class is a good indicator of a title, it isn't always the case. With Nick Saban at Alabama the last 15 years I consider that kind of an outlier.

They should given their location, conference & commitment. I think they get a bump when the non SEC TX schools get left behind in the B12.

If they can capitalize on the '22 class then it's a given for a good while.

Absolutely...nice round. Now you have my attention.

I will be in Scotland in two weeks for The Open and will play 7 rounds during my trip on courses that have hosted The Open including the Old Course.
