At least it wasn't a lateral move.

He didn't get the DL job he wanted and accepted one at A&M. Then Packers go back and give him the job he wanted so he took it. Kind of a shite move on his part because of the situation it puts A&M in, but I don't blame him.

When I guy accepts a job offer it usually means they want to be at your program.

Since you appear to be a LSU fan, this post reflects more on your team than A&M. That is, we all know that LSU tried for two years to hire Fisher, and was turned down, only for him to hook up with A&M. Posts like yours just perpetuate the supposition that many of you LSU fans are obsessively butthurt over being rejected. Not a good look and I bet a lot of LSU fans resent it. Congratulations.

You're right, and I'm just Rantin' ya over it. There's also the logic that had Green Bay offered him the job he wanted in the first place, then he'd have never accepted the job with Texas A&M to begin with....

And Texas A&M is exactly the same as Alabama football. Exactly.

To hear LSU fans tell it in 2007, Saban wouldn't be at Alabama longer than 2-3 years. And wouldn't have any success. So, I guess it depends on which melt LSU fans are on.

Saban had his original OL coach bail on him in 2007, less than two weeks after he was hired. I think the TE coach left within a couple of months.

Saban's original DC at LSU was John Thompson, who also lasted something like 2 weeks before he went home to Arkansas

There are a bunch of people on tRant who are selling Fisher short. If he was a stock I would buy early and often.
He is a good coach who knows what it takes to win. A$M will be a successful.

Our fans are embarrassing in their obsession with TAM.

Just because they are bullies and want to pile on doesn't mean they're obsessed.

Love how Alabama fans know more about what goes on at other schools football programs. You don't know SQUAT between LSU and Fisher. Truth of the matter is if Fisher would of stayed one more year at FSU and had a shitty season like last year they would of gotten rid of him for sure!! Hires and fires are all about timing and if you don't believe that you really are a dimwit!!

Montgomery worked as a defensive line coach

Well, at least Aggie didn't hire their "defensive line coach" to be the head coach did they? If they had done that, it would certainly sound like a huge desperation reach, and it probably would be for any P5 team... but then again, I could be wrong.

Look guy, LSU fans are well aware of the coaching situation.

It's weird how Gumps and faggies combine their hatred for LSU.

Very odd indeed.
