Exactly -- Anyone remember how UGA looked against Boise? Or Auburn against Utah State? How about Arky against Vandy? For that matter, how about LSU in their last game?

Yep, who thought UGA would win 10 games after the Boise debacle. USC will be ok. The secondary does look suspect as does the OL. They just need more time together.
You guys just also need to keep Shaw healthy because your backup QB's aren't cutting it.

So CNB defects. He won't answer the question but I bet his prediction now does not include meeting USCw at the end of the year.

IN all honestly, there are some gaping holes in this USC team of which Vandy couldn't take advantage due to differences in personnel. USC's OL was weak, weak. Lattimore is obviously slower in his cuts. He may improve or he may just get ground down, Shaw has no arm strength to help open up the ground game with down field throws. Shaw is going to be hit a ton with that read option play and USC has NOTHING behind him. USC's D is very good up front, but that secondary is horrendous. I saw one decent player back there.

5-0 when they play UGA and then lose 3 of the last 7...maybe 4.

9-3 at best...

Switch the Mizzou game and possibly the Tenn game.

The east is just turrible.

UGA looked bad against a very good, experienced team that had been playing together for years. USC just looked like warmed over piss against.......VANDY!

Can anyone predict Vegas spreads for SC games? You never know what game a team will actually win but I'm curious as to what this game did to public perception which is what determines who is favored.

8-4 and they could be 9-3 with a W vs. Clemson.

Boise was a very experienced and GOOD team, but not very good...we should have given them a better game.

That being said, I think USC is still a good team. Great DL, good but not great LBs, suspect DBs due to depth; Great offensive backfield, good enough OL, suspect WR corps. I think that's how everyone figured they'd be and that's what they showed. Shaw needs to learn to slide feet first and not take those hits, otherwise a bigger, faster D might kill him. His injury after this game and durability going forward is the biggest question for USC.

They'll ull it together, though. I still think the UGA game will be a hard-fought toss up, and they'll lose in Death Valley, but they'll finish up 9-3 at the very, very worst. If Shaw gets knocked out, all bets are off, though; Thompson struggled to move the ball.

I dont think one game serves as a basis. after next week, yes. Not now. For Vandy or for South Carolina. Vandy I think will be a player this year in some spoiling role.
