if you think about it, claiborne continues to be the only guy who garners any attention on these lists...just like in the preseason.
Yep.
But 5 Bama players? And dude may get heisman invite, and is Walter Camp finalist, but not considered All American? Come on, man.

He's a great player, but he's far from an elite DB.

you're far from being smart making statements like this.

So Menzie has proven this season he is more of an elite DB than TM7? Really?

And how many td passes has been caught on him this year? I think the answer is 1.
You're right, terrible DB.
If going by your standards, then why not Mathieu for first team All-Purpose over LaMichael James? Dude had like 50 yards against a real defense in Dallas.

No need to get mad. He's just not. He's good at what he does. Being a true shut down type DB is not one of them. He's very similar to Javier Arenas for us a few years ago. And I say that with Javy maybe being my all time favorite player. But he wasn't an ELITE DB.

mad about what, you're not smart, Menzie isnt a great cover corner, neither is Kirkpatrick. Your safety deserves to be on that list, he is a hoss. but the other 2 arent elite by any means.

he may not be, but good grief, neither is Menzie.

Guy makes a few nice punt returns and everybody forgets about what he's been doing on defense all year.

With all those All Americans then, there is really no excuse for Alabama to have lost to LSU at home, right?

He's a DB and probably the most disruptive DB in college football. I dont care where u put him but he should be above someone. Corner or safety I don't care. He has a position and I can't think of anyone better on defense, let alone his position.

quote:That is just stupid. He has made big plays and had big games while playing corner, safety and nickle corner. He is the definition of an all-American defensive back.

He has made plays from EVERY position and as an added bonus you get his great special teams play.
