Hugh.

Kiffin did not breach his contract. He was bought out of it.

If you are implying that Ole Miss would buyout these coaches weeks after they signed a new contract, to the tune of millions of dollars, when they already have their replacements who are also under contract with Ole Miss, that they would also owe millions of dollars, then idk what to tell you.

Seriously man. I get wanting to zing people on the SEC rant, but you are making yourself look like an idiot.

I know he is young, but I thought you guys should've offered him and not Golding. Who knows, maybe Golding works out. The whole fricking process is such a crap shoot. Look no further than Indiana and Cignetti.

Kiffin was contractually obligated to coach at Ole Miss, and yet somehow still ended up at LSU.

LSU paid Kiffins buyout to OM.

If the offensive coaches decided to stay then OM would owe us buyout money.

Additionally they would either need to buyout the coaches they have hired for next year or go back on their agreements and make them analysts etc.

None of which would be deal breakers by itself but certainly would create a bad taste for future coaches and agents

I don't know how either side can look on this and think it's an ideal situation for either party.

Agree here entirely.

Obviously OM has issues with the LSU coaches, so the arrangement needs to end and everyone get on with their lives.

A little more experience with bigger programs(Bama DC) and was a lot more independent. CWJ is far too attached to Kiffin at the hip to know how to run a program. I would have liked for him to stay just out of continuity(and that’s before seeing how he can call a game on his own). I do think we have a solid replacement though.

If this is your argument then why is Lane not coaching?

Because he quit

Ole Miss is one of the semi final teams. I know you aren’t used to being the topic of conversation, but that’s how it works this time of year.

Yet another thing you should be thanking Lane Kiffin for.

Meanwhile, in the real world, two Ole Miss posters just started Lane/LSU threads.

Exactly how much money? OM had some to burn thanks to LSU paying all those bonuses.

Rumor is Lane has been texting players,
not just Ole Miss players, and pushing them to jump in the portal. Not using a third party
causes issues.

Frank Wilson has directly called Caden Durham.

Is Ole Miss sure they want to open this can of worms?

Nothing benevolent about it ...Lane is trying to cover up his image as a shite bird who threatened to raid the roster and not allow coaches to coach the playoffs if wasn't allowed to coach during the playoffs...I'm fine with him going to LSU I get it .. higher ceiling, easier top level in state recruits, but you can't have your cake and eat it.
You will have to overpay for Lacey and once he sees your O line situation I think it's a pass unless you come up with 3 million a year.same for Chambliss
