Using your logic, Georgia should have never fired Mark Richt then.

Jimbo is washed up. Game passed him by this past year.

That is not what your school said last year when trying to hire him and got rejected

What part of “this past year” don’t you understand? We dodged a bullet.

Nah. LSU fans figured Jimbo could compete with Saban. After Bama throttled FSU this year and the Noles 5-6 or 4-7 record this year in a relatively weak ACC, most knowledgeable LSU fans have come to the conclusion that Jimbo isn't all that.

Have you figured it out on your own that Chavis is overrated too? I'm sure you'll get another reminder on Saturday.

Jimbo rode the coat tail of Winston and when he was at LSU we complained of a vanilla offense. No sour grapes here, but I don't think Jimbo is any better than what you have now to be honest. I think a young and up and coming coach would be more suitable. jmho

I love the fear seeping out of the swamp.

One thing is certain....he is no Coach O.

Not many coaches will agree to a job that isn't open. I find it hard to believe Jimbo would have agreed to take over aTm with Sumlin still coaching.

As evidenced by the fact that he has lost more games this year alone than O has in 2 years at LSU. He also has the #110 ranked offense in the nation - dead fricking last in the ACC. Yeah, we skeered!!!

Georgia fans don’t care. We still haven’t played you and most of us would welcome you in Atlanta instead of Saban.

I’m just interested to see if they actually get an upgrade

uncle in law who is an Aggies booster said the same thing. Jimbo to A&M. Great hire (if true ) all things considered .

It seems kind of strange to me that they would fire Sumlin right now. I mean, it's not as if A&M has a history of winning or anything. They were mediocre in the Big 12, and they expect Sumlin to all of a sudden dominate in the SEC West now? It seems a bit delusional to me. Sumlin wasn't terrible and Texas A&M has definitely been a competitive team in the SEC.

Jimbo has not had direct contact with A&M, but there have been discussions between representatives. He has agreed in principle to what A&M has offered verbally. Nothing is for sure until contracts are signed though.

Anytime you go after a coach it is all up in the air until ink is on paper. So take while I take it as a good sign there is always risk involved. We’ll see how it turns out.

You realize, of course, that both UGA and LSU fired their coaches during that same timeframe you use.

Thus far, neither UGA or LSU are regretting their decisions.
