Anyone have a network revenue payout schedule by conference or in the ACC's case projections?

Nope and it looks like it’s on purpose.

The ACC finally figured out to keep quiet to not give the fans a reason for push for more realignment.

You can continue with your game.
Truthfully I would expect a Major in the US Army to conduct himself much differently on this message board.

Maybe the standards of our military have went downhill.
Who knows?

Ultimately your behavior on here should equal your position of who you say you are.

Acting like some reactionary baby isn't a way for an officer in our military to behave.

Closest thing I found was projected revenue of $10M per team. Aggressive projection to say the least.

What happens if the network fails is going to be interesting.

I think most would say everyone is watching the ACC right now.
They have the largest target but they have a chance to stabilize their conference.

Problem is...
Too many mouths to feed without enough revenue.

Their next move is trying to get ND to join as a full time member.
I don't think ND wants anything to do with that Conference in football.

If, for some reason, the ACCN is unable to contract with carriers to carry the network this August, then I think the start of basketball season will generate sufficient interest to have fans demanding that their carrier carry the network.

It is interesting that for the first time I can recall, every ACC school will play one conference game in late Nov/early Dec. My guess is that this was done on purpose.

Your ability to self own yourself on attempted boom threads on tRant is hilarious.

When the SEC Network launched carriers didn't start picking it up until July and it took until August for over half of them to pick up the channel. A few of them didn't pick it up until after it had officially launched. The exact same thing is playing out for the ACCN. ESPN/Disney will ram it through just like they did for SECN.

That only works if people are interested in the product.

Look at Direct TV and CBS.
They cut their channels and people don't care.
Pretty much the same as ACC Football.
No one is going to beat down the door to watch Pitt vs Wake Forest

CBS is free OTA and does not have the same leverage that Disney does with it's sports and entertainment channels. The CBS drop just happened about 10 days ago. They will negotiate and eventually be back.

As for the ACCN, you'll see. About mid August most major carriers will have struck a deal, the channel will launch with maybe one or two holdouts, and then before actual football games are played they will pick it up too.

March 4, 2014 - Dish Network
July 18, 2014 - Comcast/Xfinity
July 24, 2014 - Time Warner Cable
August 4, 2014 - DirecTV

August 21, 2014 - SEC Network LAUNCHED

Let's break down how badly you owned yourself part by part:

quote:

When the SEC Network launched

All carriers had picked up the network by its August 21, 2014 launch. It was ANNNOUNCED during SEC Media Days in 2013.

quote:

carriers didn't start picking it up until July

AT&T UVerse picked it up as soon as it was announced in July 2013. Dish picked it up in March 2014.

quote:

and it took until August for over half of them to pick up the channel.

DirecTV was the only carrier that had not picked it up by August 1, 2014 and it picked up the network 3 days later.

Your ability to destroy your own attempt at a boom before it even starts is pathetic.

Go back to pining for Chad Morris.

There is no demand.

Maybe not till basketball season.
Don't even think the people in North Carolina really care until basketball season.
Even then basketball doesn't bring the amount of viewers that football does.

If they were able to pull CW off of DirecTV as well, it might have a bigger impact. The only other major entertainment property they own is Showtime.

Disney, Warner, Viacom, etc. all have more leverage in this regard.

I originally had "most carriers" in there and should have left it.

As for the August carrier pickups

quote:

(Picked up by) Cable One and Wide Open West on August 1. On August 2, 2014, Suddenlink Communications announced that it had reached an agreement to carry the network on the launch date. On August 4, 2014, DirecTV, and C Spire Wireless both announced agreements to carry the network (the latter deal was made through the National Cable Television Cooperative, in which C Spire would provide its Fiber to the Home HDTV subscribers with access to the SEC Network App). These announcements were followed by an agreement with Charter Communications on August 6, 2014. Mediacom reached an agreement to carry the network on August 14, 2014.

With the Mediacom agreement, the two major television providers that did not reach a carriage deal prior to launch were Verizon FiOS and Cablevision. However, on August 21, 2014, Sports Business Daily reported that Verizon FiOS had reached a deal to carry the network in its Texas and Florida service areas (which are within the SEC footprint).

LINK

You are wrong in saying that everyone had it picked up before it launched. You also have the launch date wrong. It started airing on August 14. FIos and Cablevision did not pick it up until after launch.

So once again, you owned yourself trying a dumbass boom. Again. Please save your stupid arse shite posts that do nothing but embarrass A&M posters for tArk.

That's because you've never lived there. Most football fans in North Carolina are Clemson fans when the schools in the triangle suck and the flavor of the month when they don't.

There are four major cable/satellite carriers in the US.

Comcast/Xfinity
Time Warner Cable/Spectrum
DirecTV/AT&T
Dish Network

Any other carrier is regional at best due to nepotistic municipal laws that stifle distribution competition and digital infrastructure.
