The SEC Network is also where ESPN grooms on-air broadcast talent. Those deemed good enough make the main networks.

Conversely, Lowell Galindo, etc. have never been able to move up from Bellmont.

It is pretty much another PAC 12 network.

Absolutely not. Pac-12 Net is a group of 7 different networks. It's not just a single channel. There is the national P12N and 6 other regional networks focusing on two schools each (Arizona, Bay Area, LA, Mountain, Oregon, Washington). The Pac-12 requires carriers to have all 7 of those networks as a package deal which is a major reason they have had so much trouble getting picked up by some providers. The Pac 12 also doesn't have a strategic partner to help them push for carriage the way the SEC (Disney/ESPN) and Big 10 (Fox Corporation) do.

How can this be? My Louisville friends assured me the ACC network would get a much bigger deal than the SEC.

Uhh, Samantha Ponder? She was one of the original three hires.

Kudos to you for spelling Bellmont correctly. Your obsession shines through.

Samantha Steele was originally on Fox Sports Net, then cycled through the Longhorn Network briefly before marrying Christian Ponder, then replacing Erin Andrews.
