Congrats to this LSU Tiger/ SEC Champion.

Nola is the sixth Fighting Tiger in school history to win a national player or pitcher of the year award, joining pitcher Ben McDonald (1989 Golden Spikes Award), pitcher Lloyd Peever (1992 Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Year); first baseman Eddy Furniss (1998 Dick Howser Trophy); catcher Brad Cresse (2000 Johnny Bench Award); and shortstop Alex Bregman (2013 Brooks Wallace Award).

How can he be national player of the year if his team didn't even make it to the Super Regionals?

Hell of a pitcher. Love Ole Miss/LSU Friday night games. Always two elite SEC pitchers going at it.

Congrats to him and LSU. Well deserved.

wow, just imagine if Aaron Nola played for the best team in Louisiana, The University of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. Probably would have won the CWS.

The same way AJ Reed has landed virtually all NPOY awards. It's player of the year, not team of the year.

Congrats to Nola.

Not even going to give you the satisfaction, but what is A&M the best in besides filling jizz jars and wearing white overalls?
