I can't believe I'm arguing in favor of Clemson here, but how much did being in the SEC help LSU against Clemson? And don't give me that "they didn't even want to be there" crap.
So you are going to argue that FSU is as good as Florida?
Or that VT is as good as Bama?
The question isn't about helping. It's about strength of the competition.
UGA's faced tougher opponents. And that's with the "weak" tab.

What happened from '11 to '12. Did y'all still run the 3-4 both years?

My question was about LSU. I don't understand the relevance.

There's plenty of info out there about it.

Ignore dawgday on this one.
The defense played to our strengths... and that was keeping teams out of the endzone.
We focused on holding players up and stripping. Not focused on yards after contact.
We focused on sacks on the QB. Not on containing mobile QBs.
We did what we had to do to create big plays and win games. And consequently for the 3rd year in a row... we improved our PPG allowed. That's what wins games.

I know. I feel disgusting.

Yes. See the reasons in my last post on why they struggled (low on depth, suspensions/guys putting themselves before the team, shitty coaching, etc).
Even though the 3-4 is the base defense, they're primarily in the nickel against most teams.

Oh, I forgot, facts are overrated for you.
Stats:
-Tajh Boyd passing yards in 2012 - 3896
-Johnny Manziel passing yards in 2012 - 3706
-Aaron Murray passing yards in 2012 - 3893
-Tajh Boyd points responsible for in 2012 - 21.54
-Johnny Manziel points reponsible for in 2012 - 21.69
-Wonder where Murray is?
-Tajh Boyd total offense in 2012 - 339.2 YPG
-Johnny Manziel total offense in 2012 - 393.5 YPG
-Aaron Murray total offense in 2012 - 273.2 YPG
No player in the nation has been responsible for more TDs than Boyd's 84 over the last 2 years. Boyd is closer to JFF than he is Murray.

Did y'all get more turnovers in '12 than '11?

Without looking it up... I think we had twice as many fumbles.
But we probably didn't have near as many INTs.
I'm guessing it was pretty close both years.

You know, if you try to compare the 2 QB's stats for a whole season...Sandwich is going to come in here from the UGA board and flip his shite. He'll point out the conference competition levels.
Also, tell me more about how Boyd is better than Manziel.

Congrats on beating up the weaker competition. He couldn't do that in the SEC.

Lol, you only focus on stripping the ball after you've wrapped up the ballcarrier and stopped forward progress. That's Defense 101. So either you're full of shite or your coaches are idiots.

And most importantly...no more damn Jarvis Jones!!!

Seriously, talk about a D player taking over a game.

17 fumbles recovered by our defense.
Amd we improved our ppg allowed for the 3rd year in a row.
I'd say that it worked.
As far as 2012 and 2013 goes... there will be different strengths. We don't have Jarvis Jones (7 fumbles forced with his 24.5 tackles for a loss).
Go ahead and gameplan for us using 2012 film.
Good luck with that.
