We have 3 just like the rest of the SEC. You have KU, ISU, BU, and teams worse than a lot of non P5s plus another 2-3 non p5s. You have a 3 game schedule most years between OU and 1 or 2 others having solid years. That’s it. It’s not even comparable to the SECW. That’s why is rare for the Big12 to make the playoffs.

They need it b/c their fans are pissed at what their home schedules have become. OU is always in Dallas and there are no more Nebraska, Colorado, Mizzou, A&M games in conference to cover over that.

Would you be happy if every year went something like this?

'17 - Maryland, San Jose St, KSU, Okie Lite, Kansas, Texas Tech

'18 - Tulsa, USC, TCU, Baylor, West Virginia, Iowa St

'19 - La Tech, LSU, Kansas, KSU, Okie Lite, Texas Tech

'20 - USF, UTEP, Baylor, Iowa St, TCU, West Virginia

'21 - Rice, Kansas, KSU, Okie Lite, Texas Tech

What's funny is one of the big reasons Texas is in this situation is the same reason A&M can't accept a deal with them at this time. The neutral site games in DFW make it extremely hard to set up homes and homes as you must have 6, preferably 7 home games a year to balance the books. The Big 12 went to a 9 game conference schedule which makes it even harder for the two schools to sync up.

It's doubtful the Texas AD didn't realize this and simply "suggested" A&M and Texas play knowing it wasn't going to happen so he could get some good pub.

In other words you have no balls. Got it.

In other words, playing Texas means nothing to us and we are interested in playing schools that we literally haven't played 118 times

Lol you’re talking like y’all are Bama or something. A&M is slightly above some of those teams.

A&M is a game their fans care about regardless of how good the teams are. They aren't able to fill DKR for Thanksgiving day game with any other Big 12 team. With us they can. It's really that simple.

I never wanted the Texas game to end Bubba. That's all on DeLoss Dodds acting like a child. I'm simply pointing out the financial reality of the situation. If Texas was willing to pay the cancellation fee with Miami as well as let the series start at A&M I'm sure something could have been worked out. But I'm also pretty sure the folks down at the 40 Acres aren't willing to do that.

As long as A&M is trapped in the JerryWorld game with Arkansas having a second P5 game will be a non starter due to the scheduling conflicts it creates. I think you really underestimate just how difficult scheduling college football is.

Guess A&M doesn't care as much about tradition as they brag about. "We want to play teams that we haven't already played 118 times"! AYFKM? Plus, you have side-stepped Texas in two bowl games. It's quite obvious......no balls at all.

Funny how after barging about not needing to play A&M anymore and refusing to schedule them or letting any of the other little 12 to do so, now calling asking for a game.

In 2012/2013:

quote:

According to AL.com, not only did Texas make a point in no playing the Aggies, it reportedly involved the rest of the Big 12.

"Their AD (DeLoss Dodds) at the time came out and said we will never play Texas A&M again, and they worked along with Baylor and the conference to have no one in the (Big 12) schedule us," Texas A&M athletic director Byrne said. "There were other forces at work to make sure we didn't play."

“They left,” Dodds said in 2013, via the Dallas Morning News. “They’re the ones that decided not to play us. We get to decide when we play again. I think that’s fair. If you did a survey of our fans about playing A&M, they don’t want to. It’s overwhelming. I know. I hear it. Our fans are important to us. I think there’s got to be a period where things get different. I think there’s too many hard feelings.”

In 2018:

quote:

Texas A&M athletic director Scott Woodward received a call from his counterpart at Texas, Chris Del Conte, earlier this year with an offer: Would the Aggies like to play a home-and-home football series in 2022-23?

Woodward told Del Conte no thanks.

“We were already booked,” Woodward said this week in an extended visit with the Houston Chronicle. “We’re booked 10 years out. He had an opening at the time, and it suited him, but it didn’t suit us.”

Texas and Clemson are now in talks for a series, and UGA and Clemson talks are still taking place.

Keep running aggies.. hopefully you will run you’re arse into another conference and we can add real blue bloods. I’m was pulling for you too... this is sad to run from a big12 team.

Take your joke of a coke headed heisman winner with you please, and your boy cheer screamers with you. Even Vandy wouldn’t run, did it really hurt that bad when they beat your arse in baseball?
