Yeah it's a shame Texas doesn't buy into the "were all into this together" attitude. Alot of you panning for them to be in the SEC are either too young to understand they are conference killers, or just plain fools.

Not to defend Aggy here, but I ask again:

Didn’t Alabama and Auburn refuse to play each other for 40 years? That’s some rich hypocricy, don’t you think?

I think we need to contact the Rusk State Hospital and have them increase those meds. Does your cell mate still talk to those Martians?

With all due respect, you're a filthy damn liar.

Seriously, very few Ags want to play them. They worked to put together the whole "boycott A&M" thing when we left, and promised not to play us, and they are coming begging back to us now, because they desperately to upgrade their schedule. Well, frick them. We don't need to upgrade our schedule.

In fairness, A&M does already have Miami on their schedule those two years. It's hard to blame them, really.

Rumour has it they put the boycott on Mizzou too, especially when it came to playing ku. They are the powerbrokers in that conference so I tend to believe it especially with their arrogance and hunger to control things.

You tried. They said no.

Turns out the SEC invite isn’t as attractive as you think it is.

This thread.
What the whaaa?
We. Were. Already. Booked.

Why the heck do any of you care, anyway?
Other schools’ schedules are as important to me as other schools’ student meal plans.
I blame boredom.

Mike Slive hastily jumped the gun by adding TAMU and Mizzou. Probably should've waited and added OU and Texas to the SEC West and sent AU and Bama to the East, would've worked perfectly, and also naturally balanced both divisions geographically and talent perspective:

East:
AU
Bama
UGA
UF
USCe
Tenn
Kentucky

West:
Oklahoma
Texas
LSU
Arkansas
Ole Miss
State
Vandy

That's a strong looking conference. Texas A&M and Mizzou should've stayed in the Big 12 against Baylor, ISU, K State where they have a better chance at winning conference titles.

Rhino5, one day you’ll have to share the roots of your A&M hatred.
I assume you’re an adult; thus, your constant comments in these types of threads are fascinating to me.
You seem to take it very seriously—there has to be a story here.

No hatred, you guys dish it out on a daily basis. And I do think OU and UT would've been better additions than ATM and Mizzou. Noticed included Mizzou in there as well, so don't cry.

BTW, the giant elephant in the room is that the SEC attained the historically weaker Texas school, so it'd make us all proud if y'all would nut up and face your rival, that one y'all have played 118 times since 1894.

Eh, I think there’s more to it than you’re letting on.
But thanks for the response.

He tried. OU and Texas said no. Texas A&M was the best option that would say yes.

And he couldn’t wait any longer because the SEC needed expansion to trigger contract terms that allowed for the SEC Network to launch.

It makes you seem like you have an axe to grind against A&M when you don’t accept these basic and well known facts.
