Texas A&M does these kinds of things because their administration is starting to realize that there are 3 teams better than them in the SECW division alone. Factor in UGA and UF and they are, at best, the 6th best team in the conference. They are never going to win shite here and because of that, they need to create championship-like "cultural moments." Hats, shirts, rings, cups, portraits, etc. It is the only way to keep their fans feeling like things are progressing.

Single game T-Shirts for regular season games are lame all around.
The cups and the mural in Jimbo's office are actually pathetic and amplify the lameness of the t-shirt. Those things let you know that it is a university wide decision to play up the importance of one regular season win.
