I’m not sure about my “posting fake news” ... but I sure hope not (that’s the very reason I’ve intentionally become a politically uninformed wanderer; but that’s for another board).
You are correct.
I do not take photos of strangers’ shirts—unless it’s some super great garment that I want.
I have been guilty of such fashion voyeurism.
Re: the OP photo: I’m wondering if the guy’s purple hat is an indicator that he’s an LSU grad who lost a bet, and his buddies are simply recording evidence of the spoils?
Regardless, the entire scenario makes me smile.
Here’s to more celebratory shirts and cups in the future!

I am with you! Either I buy official LSU gear or stuff celebrating championships! Buying a one time one team shirt is just dumb

Not quite as bad as hiring Scott Linahan as passing coordinator.
So there is that.
So there is that.

Eh, the shirt isn’t embarrassing. As the thread shows, everyone does it.
The cups, rings, and painting? That’s embarrassing.

Take a picture of the guy and start your own thread.

There were no rings.
That was a photoshop from the inside of an Aggie Ring.
Cups and a painting ... they’re real.

The cups are overboard, but don't a lot of schools make shirts posting wins over good teams? The merchandise is out there.
i don't buy anything that includes another teams name on it. even if it's a gift it's gone.
just me but i think it's crap.
years ago it did not bother me.
i think it started with my disgust of the "SEC", referee bs stuff. early 80's.
angry old man syndrome maybe.

That’s because such shirts are marketed to kids.

These are the same douchebags that have SEC stickers on their cars and SEC patches on their hats.
Pathetic.

In complete honesty, I highly doubt it.
At least, none of my classes involved lessons in spelling.
That’s a skill expected to be acquired prior to admission.

Not in our house!
Ok, let's see.... Since joining the SEC in 2012 the Maggots have lost 17 games in 8 seasons @ their house, (Kyle Field) including 3 out of 4 to LSU.
2012 - Florida & LSU
2013 - Alabama & Auburn
2014 - Ole Miss, Missouri & LSU
2015 - Alabama & Auburn
2016 - Ole Miss & LSU
2017 - Alabama, Miss St & Auburn
2018 - Clemson
2019 - Auburn & Alabama
Not in our house....
Print the cups, shirts, posters & engrave the rings!

the photo provided by the OP is a prime example.
unless the photo represents child like behavior of the average aggie.

That’s one of my favorite vintage AMC photos.
We have it framed and hangin’ in the garage at the ranch.

The worst I have seen was in Houston awhile back. The Astros sold hats and shirts that said "Wild Card Champions"
I shite you not.

Is that building in the picture still on campus? Is it used?
Posted on 2/11/20 at 12:01 pm to 1BIGTigerFan
Yes.
It’s the Academic Building.
Today it has a hodgepodge of uses (administrative offices, Faculty Senate, Hispanic studies, European & classical languages & cultures, and performance studies).
Most importantly: (a) the statue of Gov. Lawrence Sullivan Ross (“Sully”) is located in front of the building, and (b) it’s where buglers stand on the roof in front of the dome during Silver Taps ceremonies.
