This clip is only the tail end of this Incident.
What happened was this: The SMU Male cheerleaders ran onto the field to celebrate. They had already been told the field was a memorial and all celebrations were to be done on the sidelines. Knowing this they went on the field anyway to piss the Aggies off. One of the cadets ran onto the field and told them to get off. While he yelled at them one of the cheerleaders kneeled down behind him and they pulled a slapstick push the guy over routine. This is why the cadet is not wearing his Cover and his pants are wet. The Cadet then got up , and pissed off at being humiliated made the dumbest move of his life and pulled his sword and kicked the cheerleader on the ground. That is what is being shown in this video."

The senior cadet's name is Greg Hood.

Frick you. I graduated from high school and joined the Army in 1981

No friendly fire intended amigo. Nothing wrong with a cool grandpa.

I'll buy you dinner and a beer and shoot the shite if you're ever around. Hell, I'll even bring the blender so you can blend the food and beer all into a mush and drink it through a straw with your Metamucil.

All I know is that A&M had to win a hard fought game against Centenary College of Louisiana-Shreveport (enrollment 580) in route to a win over Tulane to capture the title.

2 years later the Centenary Gents dissolved the football team. I guess aggie broke Centenary.

Corps Turd got upset that the SMU cheerleaders were celebrating a touchdown on the field of play and confronted them. Then saw red with rage and pulled his sword when they pulled a "shove-a-guy-backwards-over-the-top-of-your-other-friend-who-sneaked-up-and-crouched-behind-him-on-all-fours" prank on him.

Umm... that's because most of them are cadets. Do you see West Point cadets the same way?

I'm not sure there was ever a concrete 'this is how it all started' but the accepted narrative was that the SMU male cheerleaders were goofing around on Kyle Field (valor lost, and all that). One of the corps members who got dressed out to stand 'guard' at the game got irritated with one of the cheerleaders and exchanged words. One thing led to another and the corps dude lost his cool, unsheathed, and then got knocked over by another SMU cheerleader.

As the story goes, it has been made mandatory the swords be zip-tied to their sheaths at the football games, ever since. Aggies traditionally call this situation 'bad bull' or in regular people terms - not smiled upon when discussing past shenanigans/happenings.

That is exactly what happened. The cadet was suspended shortly after the incident
