And it sounds like RSJ may be making his 'final' (nothings final until you sign the dotted line and show up on campus) decision on Monday. LINK

why don't y'all try it? wouldn't be the first time y'all cheated and got busted. LSU would have won the nc this year if we would have had our guys stay, hell just our juniors. and of course we beat y'all. i like your excuses tho.

Think you're confused Grandpa, but I know that comes with age - we beat ourselves in the LSU game. Don't worry though, you'll get your chance next year.

Posted on 12/6/12 at 6:40 pm to Peekingduck
I guess the LSU defense had nothing to do with those turnovers. I forgot JFF must have just wanted to give us a fair chance. You FAGGIES really kill me. One good season now you think you are going to the NC come on I know you all are fans of your team but you actually think you will only have possibly 1 loss next year. This ain't the Big 12 teams adjust and watch tape and learn. LSU adjusted to your offense thru out the entire game and slowed that offense down confused your unbelievable precious JFF. So don't give me that crap aTm gave the game away cause I'm sick of hearing it. I guess Bama could say the same thing about there lose to aTm.

OL
Matthews will probably stay; his little brother plays C and our current starting C is graduating, so staying would let Matthews get game action with the little bro. Also, the little brother is supposed to be just as talented as his older brother, so we probably aren't going to notice Lewis (the C) leaving (which is saying something. Lewis is damn good. He'll likely be drafted in the mid/late rounds).
No idea if Joeckel leaves. All logic says yes, but 1) he also has a brother on campus and 2) he had a family friend leave college for some sport and then suffer a career-ending injury, so supposedly he has a strong predisposition toward staying.
LB
Losing Porter hurts. We'll take a step back there.
Stewart is a rock solid SEC MLB, but he's not a transcendent talent. We've got a JUCO MLB coming in and a couple of people on the depth chart that should be able to fill in there.
Safety
Terrell is solid and has done some good things for us, but he's not an elite talent. He's replaceable.
Campbell played in maybe 1-2 games this year before quitting due to concussions. He wasn't a contributor.
WR
We're losing several studs, but we're fairly deep here. Also, we've got 2 of the top ~10 WRs in the country committed right now and will almost certainly have 3 on Monday when Seals-Jones commits (he wore A&M gloves during several of his HS games this year and routinely drives up to CS to hang out with the players. It'd be a major shocker if he committed to LSU). Jaquay is 6'3 200lbs, Jones is 6'5 230lbs, and Griffin is 6'6 230lbs. (in other words, they're physically ready to play college ball). Remember that we've got Mike Evans, who's 6'5 220lbs, had 1000 yards receiving this year, and was a terror blocking.
If 1-2 of them contribute and a couple of less-used WRs can step up, our WR corps could be significantly better than it was this year.
DE
Moore is the only potential loss. Logic says he'll leave, but he's very close with Von Miller, who stayed for his senior year and then won the Butkus. Apparently Von's been telling to him that the NFL will be there next year, but he can only be a senior once, and to consider that strongly when making his decision. Huge loss if he leaves. We've got some talent behind him, but you don't replace a top 10 pick and not have a substantial drop in play quality

Over the summer, he was almost a definite no, but supposedly he's made amazing headway and now stands a decent chance at getting in.
Really, really hoping he does. With his size, speed, and hands, and with our wide open system, he could be a college version of Rob Gronkowski. He could easily be north of 240lbs when he takes the field as a fish

I doubt the brother effect is as strong as you claim. Its being set for a lifetime vs. risking a career ending injury. If I'm Matthews brother i say GTFO and get your check so you can buy me shite.
Rookie money tanked hard recently. It's still a factor, but it's nowhere near as much of one as it used to be.

Matthews probably stays.
Joeckel is gone.
Ced O is a very athletic OL and has been stuck behind Matthews/Joeckel for 3 years.
Mike Matthews is a good center.
We're going to be ok at OL, but losing Joeckel hurts.
Moore's family is close to Von Miller's family, there seems to be a bit of pressure to stay one more year. Particularly if he can climb in the draft(would be a favorite for post-season awards).
Regarding Matt Davis, a friend saw him play Safety in 7o7 his senior year. Said he would be an instant starter for us after watching him play all weekend.
How A&M balances out Hill/Joeckel/Davis(with Murray due in a few years) will be interesting to watch...I'm assuming Showers is gone at the end of the year.

We already know that one of our three JRs that are supposedly headed to the NFL is staying per Sumlin... Which is probably Matthews. I wouldn't be shocked if the other 2 left or stayed.
