He legit just said he expects Stewart to USC
re: I get it! I’m not happy with losing either, but acting like BK is the worst coach is lazy

Those coaches are actually DOING their jobs with NIL fundraising, hiring, game planning and personnel management. They seem connected with their programs and players. The same cannot be said about Kelly
Edit: Honestly I could’ve just stopped at “those coaches are doing their jobs.” Kelly is lazy and complacent. He’s checked out so the team is doing likewise

The witch hunt is on because the word is out on him being lazy and disconnected from this program. It’s evident in the play and lack of preparation in every game this year. He is checked out
re: Brian Kelly will be fine and needs time

These are tired excuses. Kelly is checked out and out of touch with the program. In this current iteration of college football you don’t need three years to build a playoff caliber team.
He was asleep at the wheel during the first portal window last year and from all the chatter that’s coming out now he isn’t exactly a ‘first one in the building, last one out the building’ type coach. We have major systemic issues and I don’t see them getting fixed unless there’s some major accountability conversations and movement in the offseason.

Don’t forget first he went “hmmm” like he didn’t know that happened. Dude is checked out. Throwing Frank under the bus isn’t going to work pal
re: Who does BK fire

They probably won’t let anyone go until after the recruiting class signs but that’s the least of our problems.
BK is checked out/out of touch with the program and Sloan either needs help, or to be removed, from the OC position.

He’s slated to come in before the dead period begins. So Tuesday/Wednesday.

People want youth to play, well this is what happens when freshmen play.
This is somewhat of a red herring. People want more of the freshmen to play bc the transfer upperclassmen (and returning guys) aren’t getting it done. Every single transfer; that is starting or playing; has over 28 games under their belt at the collegiate level. This isn’t on the youth, no matter how much Kelly tries to spin it that way. Their personnel decisions and scheme are baffling. He should be playing more youth if the ‘mature’ guys they brought in aren’t doing any better than the inexperienced, but higher ceiling, ‘youth’.

I agree with you. I knew what he meant; he probably should’ve phrased it a little better without adding the qualifier. Sort of opened himself up for the counterpoint.

All of those guys started and contributed in our beat down, yes.
-Bell was the guy that scored the last two tds
-Roddick starting left guard
-Byers starting right tackle
-Fiske starting DT that blew up Turner all night (this one sucks bc we were hard after him out the portal)
-Cypress starting corner who was on Nabers or BTJ most the night (we also tried to get him out the portal)

Understand what you are saying, but there are bigger problems.
Everyone keeps saying this like downplaying the issue that our starting QB can’t get us in the end zone isn’t a major issue. It’s a massive issue; especially with a clearly deficient defense. This team will only win by putting up a bunch of points. He simply can’t.

Someone else made a great point in another post, the only issue is without Jayden at QB we have ZERO running game. If we’re that one dimensional, we’re putting Nuss in a situation to fail.
Yeah but if you can actually take the top off the defense and pop quick throws; it backs off the defense and opens up a running game, usually. Now the interior run blocking is a whole other issue; but the threat of a vertical passing game helps open up the running game.

Godfather Part II. Michael says it to his mother when talking about “losing family.” It’s in Italian and subtitled. Cross dissolves into Vito in the past

re: You can teach skills, and practice them, but you can’t make someone care

Yes. It’s part of the job to keep a pulse on the team’s morale and focus. If they aren’t ‘up’ for a game then you find a way to get them engaged or make the personnel changes you need to spark the team.

What kind of an a-hole comes to another teams message board and basically says “y’all only beat us bc we suck.” Way to have pride in your team you bitch
