Bama will still get in for one reason and one reason only. just look at their season and how much their offense puts up and how well their defense played.
I hate to have to say it because i really dislike Bama but no matter what happens they are the best team this season.

Its possible we don't get in with a loss. It is also possible we do get in with a loss. Depends on what happens in the game. I don't see the committee dropping us to #5 just because we lost to #4 Georgia. Now, if it is a blowout loss then I am fine with being left out.

The BCS lasted for 16 years and you had only 2 spots, conferences were left out all the time.
This sense of entitlement is ridiculous.
They get left out because they aren't national championship caliber. They can get mad about it.
If you remember, the year that LSU beat Bama in the regular season and the BCS turned around and placed in the BCS title game for a rematch was the spark that ended that system.
The CFP has become too big and everyone wants a piece of it.

If uga didn't win the CCG, we wouldn't have been in the playoffs

They won't if it's a close loss. Everyone with two brain cells to rub together who has been watching college football for more than six months knows this. There are those in this thread who don't like it who are bitching about it, but that doesn't mean shite, and they know it.

I remember in the sane times of you not winning your confrence championship means you were out of the picture. Time to bring back the BCS.
Oklahoma and Nebraska say hi

A blow out loss to Purdue, more than anything, certainly says a team isn’t the best in the nation.
I will never ever excuse that lose, but a game in October is different than a game in December on a neutral field.
OSU 2014 is a prime example of a team who people thought "that team lost at home by 2 TDs to V.T. how the hell can they be in?" Was that team the best in the nation?
UGA in the past 2 years has been blown out twice, and people seem fine to let them into the playoffs if they go 12-1. Hell, last year UGA got outgained 2-1 by Auburn and had 46 yards rushing. We had no problem making them a playoff team

You shoulda lost to a shitty Maryland team...two weeks ago!...get lost bucknut!
By the way, do you know what state Atlanta's in?

All that changes is if Clemson gets beat in the 1st or 2nd round...

Am I the o my Bama fan that thinks if we do not win the SECCG that we should not be in the CFPO?
Even though I still think Bama would be a better team than Notre Dame, and the OU teams Bama didn't win when it counted. Out...no need to expand either.

Like a blow out loss to LSU?

It’s not different in the grand scheme, not to mention That Maryland game was less than 2 weeks ago. Losing to a strong team is viewed very differently than losing to a weak team.

But both teams that beta us were actually good teams. Auburn would have gone to the playoffs last year had they won the SECCG, and LSU is a top 10 team, so it's not quite like getting blown out by Purdue, is it?
And Purdue beat OSU worse than either of Georgia's losses. Then when you add on the Nebraska and Maryland games it just doesn't have good optics for OSU.

Bama should have lost to a shitty Tennessee team in 2009...does that make them less worthy to be national champs? I mean come on people have blinders on when it involves their team on here often

Are you going to tell me a 2-3 hour drive is going to deter Bama fans from making the trip to a neutral site. Come on man don't try it

No, Not even close.

Lets compare Ohio State and Georgia this year shall we?
Georgia:
20 point loss to #10 LSU
Won the rest of their games by 17+ points
Playing #1 Alabama in the SEC Championship Game
Ohio State:
29 point loss to a 6-6 Purdue team
close game with 4-8 Nebraska
close game with 5-7 Maryland
Playing #21 Northwestern who is 8-4 in B1G Championship Game
Beating Northwestern gains you nothing. You have a blowout loss and 2 close games against horrid competition. Your resume even with a B1G championship isn't going to stack up.

I'll be honest, I'm tired of having this discussion. We've beaten the shite out of everyone we played. If we lose then we can start all this, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna start planning out these scenarios now.

You pick isolated games and you ignore that in 2009 Alabama went undefeated and beat the #1 and #2 teams in the nation that year....so there is a big difference!

I mean be better than 12-1 conference champs (if this scenario happens)? That's a damn good year. 12-1 conference champs should be seen in most cases as superior to 12-1 non champs.
Not at all.

I agree. The chances of Alabama losing Saturday are slim. Is it possible? Yes....but certainly not probable.
