A UGA fan's perspective on next week.

They are very closely matched. I hope Bama will holdup better than the other competition you dawgs have played this year.

Regardless of who wins, I hope it is injury free, w/ no lasting penalties [aka. targeting].

And if Bama doesn't win - I want Georgia to win out, just as I did for LSU before them.

I honestly believe it'll be a lot like the 2008 SECCG. Bama will hang in there for three quarters but UGA will flex and pull away in the fourth.

I could be wrong but that's kind of how I forsee it playing out. Either way, I'm grateful to just be there considering how abysmal we looked early in the season.

As a UGA fan I have as little contempt for Alabama as anyone in the SEC. The reasons are simple. We seldom play Alabama unless the stakes are high and usually being in a position to play in a meaningful game was satisfying enough. We have never played Alabama regularly in my lifetime. They are responsible, directly, for at least one Natty not going our way and arguably another in 2012. Outside of the black out game debacle most of the times we have played Alabama recently the game has been competitive and we simply got outplayed. That is easier to take than what Auburn, Tennessee and LSU experience with Alabama where they just get fricking arse raped on the regular....if that was what happened to UGA most of the time when we played Bama I would probably despise them more...

I don't hate Georgia at all. We aren't rivals, we're just programs that are now built in the mirror image of eachother by great coaches and generally stand in eachother's way to get to our main goals.

We were ahead of Georgia a few years ago and now we are chasing Georgia.

People are feeling the same way about UGA these days. It gets old watching the same 5/10 schools with realistically only 2/3 being real title contenders year in and year out. I respect what Bama has done and there commitment to winning. There entire program was built to win and you have to admire it. They do it better than anyone.

I'm sure if we played oklahoma or michigan every year we'd hate them but as it stands now why should we? You want us to manufacture some sort of hatred based on a scenario (frequenty of matchup) that doesn't exist.

As has been thoroughly mentioend already, bama is just the biggest foe that has ruled CFB for 15 years and stood in our way of accomplishing a lot more during that time. The name on the jersey is irrelevant to that...UGA fans would be irked by that whether it was albama or clemson or tennessee or florida state or anyone. It just so happens to be alabama. I think if we hadn't won in '21 you'd see a lot more vitriol but finally getting over the hump helped some. Also winning B2B natties will chill out most of even the most fervent of haters.
