Charles Scott and Keiland Williams were both very good running backs.
Charles Scott was one of the better plow ahead classic running backs we've had in the last 15 years, but Keiland was only a situational player. He never lived up to his billing.

Just awful, AWFUL quarterback play.
Just imagine how much we'd be celebrating the past 15 years with better QB play in all but 2-3 of those years.

We begged for Jordan Jefferson...
It was a dark time

We were coming off a National Championship that year.
Perrilloux should have been leading us to greatness, but he was removed and we were left abruptly with two freshman qbs.
That's how.
Miles took over the offensive playcalling that year (and YES he actually did, past players have said he did and they knew they would have a bad season in 08) and outside of a season or two it has never been the same.

IMO, that year is why Les is so conservative on offense.
That nightmare has forever changed Miles' offensive philosophy. I feel like it forever haunts him. IMO.
He actually prefers to keep the game close and try to win it at the "back-end" Which is nice in theory, but it's very taxing.. our players on offense (particular QB) have to play so tight in fear of just one turnover on limited opportunities that I believe a lot of it is even mental.
I would love to see a culture change.. a belief and trust.. and even if you turn the ball over.. we have all the confidence in the world to drive the field next possession and make it up..
Oh well.. it now takes Miles to have a Senior QB before he is ready to really open up the QB position.

He let our middle linebacker collect 2 pick 6s against him that year, one on the first play of the game
Think your MLB was our leading receiver that game

My question would be: how did you guys make it through that season with your sanity? Just awful, AWFUL quarterback play.
We were down 31-3 to fricking TROY before a miracle comeback.

A lot of us didn't.

Winning the national championship the year before helped sustain.

As long as Les Miles and Cameron Jordan are in charge of this offense -you and everyone else in the SEC West have nothing to worry about

Would be a hell of a blemish on miles' regular season OOC streak. Even though we likely just change it to "miles is undefeated in the regular season against OOC power 5 teams"
You can always add more stipulations

I was in high school and used to take pride in being totally sober and remembering every part of the game. witnessing every single one of those interceptions in person made me take football less seriously and start drinking prior. in a strange way he taught me that it's just a game

LSU fans and sanity don't belong in the same sentence.

Correct me if I am wrong but after Sabans only Natty at LSU didn't he like go 8-5 or 9-4 his next and final year. Did they forgive him!!!

I've been saying this for years, Saban lost to fricking Iowa on his way out.

Hmm, now that's funny, Miles has lost 3 games or less SEVEN
TIMES in Baton Rouge (and two games or less FIVE times.)
Saban only did it twice. You'd think, what with him being stacked with Dinardo's NFL talent and all, that he would have lost less games...........
