One of the most amazing things about this match up is how each team is clawing tooth and nail to claim the prize of "most disrespected"

LSU wants to be known as the best defense in the country and Bama wants to restore order.

Should be a great game.

Does anybody have the exact quote he made at media days yesterday where somebody asked him where he thought LSU had any advantage at any position and he said "none" and the media guy then through out a suggestion "what about special teams" and he said "no, none"

I'm sure it's synthetic and not the real stuff.

That makes it okay right?

Yes Maze needs to tone down his attitude.

But starting a new thread on every sentence Maze says?

What is A-Maze-ing is that I didn't know the Red Zone started at the 30. All this time I was lead to believe it was the 20.

Should have said they got down to the 17 once and had to settle for a field goal.

Do you not understand the reasoning behind this? I'm sure that Saban and staff have been drilling this into the heads of the players so that they have the right mindset. If the players believe that they beat themself last time then they will believe they can win the game. If they have the mindset that they played the perfect game and lost then they will feel like they can't win this time either.

Quit taking everything so personal.

Yeah, like allow more plays for negative yards than positive yards. If that is all due to failing to execute, they were lucky to lose by 3. Maze needs to think before he spews.

So basically Bama players fricked up in the biggest game of the year. In their house.

Definite sign of a championship team.

this pretty much sums up the majority of the country's take on the situation:

quote:

NEW ORLEANS—Of course it is. Alabama isn’t a team of ham-handed incompetents. The Tide aren’t bumblers, screw-ups, chokers. They were all those things, unfortunately, when they met LSU in Tuscaloosa, but that was out of character, an aberration … wasn’t it?

I believe it was. There was a combination of great defense by LSU and awful execution by Alabama inside the Tigers’ 30-yard line—leading to four misses on long field goals—and only one of those factors can be counted on Monday night in New Orleans. You’ll see great defense again from LSU, but not another comedy of errors by the Tide.

“It sounds so cliché, but it comes down to what we do,” senior center William Vlachos said on Thursday. “When you look at it, it comes down to our execution.”

How has Alabama executed over three games since Nov. 5? With 12 offensive touchdowns and only two turnovers. With 505 yards on the ground from Trent Richardson and a six-to-one touchdowns-to-interceptions ratio from quarterback AJ McCarron.

Two of those wins were at Mississippi State and Auburn—and let’s not confuse those teams with LSU for even a moment. Let’s not call those games cakewalks, either.

Relatively speaking, Alabama’s offense is ready to roll. Against LSU, that might simply mean getting into the end zone a time or two. That won’t keep viewers heads on a swivel, but it’ll sure be better than what happened nine weeks earlier.

Really? What kind of math do they teach at Bama?

LSU was in the redzone more than Bama.

He reminds me so much right now of Mo Williams during the 2009 NBA eastern conference finals.

The Magic were up 3-1 and he's still spewing to the cameras, "We're the better team. We're gonna win this series."
