A lot of writers and whatnot are predicting Texas to beat A&M

Makes zero sense. It's been made clear that Texas is overrated, and A&M is a very good team. The Twelfth Man will make November 30th hell for Ewers or Manning. We have the best offense they'll have faced all year (Game 12 - let that sink it). Our DLine will tear their overhyped OLine apart.
What am I missing?

I’d worry about USCe first.

Texas A&M still has a lot of question marks. Marcel Reed looked great, but it was in a unique situation where we he was not schemed against. There WRs are very mid imo, and there secondary still has holes. If you stop Texas AM run game you can beat them.

Good.

I sometimes forget that some of y’all have never been in a conference with Texas.

I'll say it so Aggie doesn't have to - the liberal media loves Texas and always picks them to win - especially over A&M.

My main concern vs Texas is the same I had against LSU - a very weak secondary that can be abused by a good QB. We saw what that looked like in the first half with Nuss carving us up and the LSU OL doing a good job of stopping any pressure from our DL.
If TX can do the same and give Ewers time to pick us apart, it could be a long night.

But truthfully, we got 3 games of football before then - no telling what we'll be thinking by then.

As of last week(still waiting for updates on teh past weekends games), A&M had played the weakest schedule of the entire SEC.
You aren't undefeated in the SEC because you've played a lot of tough teams, you're undefeated in the SEC because LSU is the only good team you've played.
Texas has only played Georgia, and lost badly, no doubt. But most teams would be expected to lose against Georgia, INCLUDING Texas A&M.
Meanwhile, you lost to Notre Dame.
In short, neither of you have really been tested yet, but Texas would be the favorites to win at this point for good reason and I'd pick them to win as well.

What happened in the second half? I didn't get to watch X.

The school in Austin has a very good football team; don't be mistaken. Possibly even a great one and definitely capable of winning the SEC and beating UGA in a rematch.
It's rarely better for A&M to be the favorite anyway since the Aggies often don't handle biz when they're hyped up. We're talking decades of disappointment when it comes to A&M football here, but Elko seems to be the hire that can change that.

Objection, your honor.
If LSU is the best A&M has played then holy shite.

if we played today you win. There's no question in my mind. There's a lot of football to be played and, no offense, I'm not worry about a&m right now. We have other losable games in front of us.
We have a tendency to overreact as fans. When we dominated michigan everyone said we were the best team in the country, then Bama beat georgia and everyone crowned them, then GA dominated us and now they are the darlings of the SEC.
You guys have a great team but a lot will happen between now and then. I'd be thrilled to get there with only one more loss out of the next 4 and with Quinn starting I'm not real confident in that tbh.

Have you ever watched a Texas vs Texas A&M game? What about a game between the two where both are ranked?

Why do you think Texas is overrated? Where do you think they should be ranked? Why do you think A&M has a really good team?
I'm not trolling.. I'd like to know your answers.

The crowd noise was much more brutal in the little Kyle field. Idk why, acoustics or whatever, it doesn't make sense but it was freaking brutal.

We have a very good but not great team right now. Sark is going to have to earn his salary to fix the issues on offense.
A&M? They look really good but at some point reed is going to have to win a game with his arm. That could pose problems for them.
It's way too early for either of us to worry about that late season game.

Meh. It's OK for fans to look ahead. Our focus has zero impact on the outcomes of the games.
