Same. Didn't watch a single dribble this year. Between Cal and freedom of movement, it's too boring and frustrating. Basically watching a guy in zebra shirt blowing his whistle and dancing headlining a freethrow shooting contest.

At least UK has football.
Seems very strange typing that.

Yep.

Sounds like good TV! I'm not getting why they are so surprised tho. KY basketball has been irrelevant for half a decade. You'd think they would be used to it by now.

Do they? They're Tennessee's bltches, that's for sure.

The guy is actually crying.

This is why I have no confidence in LSU ever being relevant in basketball. If Cal is having trouble at Kentucky , how could any program build up?

Can you argue with yourself in someone else's thread. The adults are talking. Chicken should really deal with these UT alters

Haven't seen it yet, but that's a world-class melt.

What I don't understand is why anyone at UK would want him in any kind of AD or ambassador role.

It's definitely interesting to see how Kentucky and Cal is just not getting results at all. 1 postseason win and not making It to the 2nd weekend of the tournament in 5 years seems like it would/should be a fireable offense.
It's not even as if they just got unlucky, I think the teams are just genuinely not up to par with Kentucky's standard.
It will be intriguing where they go from here, and if nothing else, Calipari should be on the hot seat with a deeper run(Elite 8) into the tournament being the only acceptable outcome.

Raw talent that struggles in the one and one atmosphere. This team probably had as much overall talent as anyone, but come tourney time, it's deer in the headlights for the freshman, and well, that equals a quick exit most of the time.

They’ve lost multiple times to double digit seeds recently and they’ve also had other vexing regular season losses (UNC-W), so safe to say it’s a becoming a trend. To that end I completely understand the frustration and think the Cal era has officially run its course.
On the other hand, these tournament upsets do happen. Even despite all of Cal’s flaws, the freshmen jitters, etc. Kentucky beats Oakland and St Peter’s 98 times out of 100. At least some of this is just tough luck and horrible timing. Even if they went on to lose in the second round or sweet 16 in ‘22 and this season, I think the temperature of the fan base would be much different right now. Some frustration for sure, but not at this level.
Agreed 100%. It’s easy to laugh and drink the tears when these kind of things happen to the heavy hitters, but as someone who lives for UNC basketball and has sat through plenty of agonizing losses and rough seasons, I can empathize with how they’re feeling today. Don’t really get much schadenfreude out of it.

Sorry....but, I've caught the secrantitis-virus....you know, the virus that disables one unable to read novels or great lengths of verbiage without having the eyes rolled back up into the cranial cavity of one's skull.

I have no empathy for Kentucky after what Randall Cobb did to Auburn.
Kentucky can die in a fire.
