Auburn season ticket holders had the option of including the game in their season ticket package or not. Assuming a good chunk did not.
For those who did, you were given a range of seats to choose from in the stadium based on the average cost of your season ticket. If you have 4 season tickets you could get 4 seats at MBS.
The fact that the game didn't sell out destroyed the secondary ticket market because you could buy tickets at face value for less than what season ticket holders had to pay for them.

It was Baylor for goodness sake, you expect a fanbase to get worked up and travel to see that game?

For Atlanta? Nope. Short drive and not much costs outside of tockets amd parking.

I'm assuming you meant 9 game schedules. I hope you're wrong but you're probably right.
Yes. Given home field advantage and 5 home and 4 away for half the teams and 4 home and 5 away for the other half, the only way to balance things is neutral sites...

Pretty sure it was announced before the end of the 2025 season and frankly auburn fans were pissed. Should’ve been a night game in Jordan-Hare and it would’ve been packed out. Cohen is a shmuck.
Interesting. This makes it seem more odd to me that the stadium was so empty. I went with a friend who was able to convert his season passes to passes for this game since it was a home game.

Neutral site games are a thing of the past.
Agree, as others in this thread.
If we could limit the all of college football to just 3 neutral site games, they'd have to be...
1. Texas vs Oklahoma (Dallas)
2. Florida vs Georgia (Jacksonville)
3. ???

Auburn fans just beat down to the point that there's less excitement for them?
22 consecutive home sell outs say no. Many didn’t like the move to a neutral site. It cost the Auburn community millions. They “said” it would be used to keep our roster together from last year. I seem to remember the AD saying “you will like it when Cam Coleman and Duece Knight are still on the roster next year” or something very similar. Yeah. Well… that didn’t work out and we still lost a home game.
However with a dollar buying less and less each day, prices going up, and people’s pay scale not keeping up… it’s just easier to watch the games on TV and drink a dollar beer rather than a $10 one… especially in a neutral site game.

Before RG3 Baylor was not interested in going to games even in Waco. They were big into Women's and Men's Basketball, especially with Kim Mulkey coaching. Now it's back to no show at football games.

With a game conf schedules were going to see more of them in conf....
Exactly. Its the only way to have quality OOC matchups these days and they aren't "going away"
Sorry,I'll take a neutral site game in stadium with actual seats and quality concessions over home game vs a rent a win any day.

Under rated statement. The weekly games do not matter anymore. You can have 2-3 bad games a year and teams are now purposely scheduling line notre dame.
BCS really was a criminally underrated system that ppl were mad that a shite schedule and conference could leave you out. A 4 team playoff based on bcs and without human playoff committee would be the ticket.
Personally not as big of a fan as I once was. Nil, transfers, 12 team playoff etc it’s only gunna get worse. Is what it is

upper deck in the endzone was mostly empty and lots of patches of empty seats in the lower bowl during the game
Noticed that during the broadcast. You might as well sell these tickets dirt cheap to get fans in the seats. Or the schools need to do a better job providing a game day package that includes lodging and transportation. Why would students even show up? Make your money off concessions. We got carried away with neutral site games. It's sad what the NIL world has done to CFB.
