I'll throw this in here from another post I did:
Delpit had at least 5 missed tackles. He was injured and didn't practice at all the 2 weeks leading up to Bama. Stingley fell when Devonta caught the final TD pass (85 yards)instead of holding him to a 30-40 yard catch. He also got caught looking at the sideline and gave up another long TD. Our gunner didn't break down on the punt return and allowed Bama back in the game.
Gee, if LSU played as they should we win by 30+.

How do you declare Bama as being better than any of the 1 loss teams? Your defense just gave up 46 points in a loss to LSU at BAMA!
And LSU isn’t the only team that put points up on y’all. LSU is the first real team that y’all have played all year. Do you even have one win against a top 25 team? Is aggy ranked? I seriously don’t know.
How you have somehow convinced yourself that you are better than all of the 1 loss teams is a head scratcher. Even undefeated Minnesota has a win over previously unbeaten and #4 Penn State.
Of course the media would rather Bama be in there rather than any of those other schools because it’s a bigger draw. However It definitely isn’t a case for your team being better than any of them.

You could. Its not that grey of an area, honestly. A lot of teams would need to win out to keep you out. Clemson, Ohio state most likely will. If Oregon, Utah, or Oklahoma or Baylor wins out, they are in ahead of you.

As a Bama fan with our De being the worst since Sabin's first yr @Bama we probably would get out scored again if we made the playoffs. Lsu's De is not much better but maybe able to over come it with the future Heisman winner at QB. Wouldn't surprise me if Bama got lucky & backed into the playoffs. I think Auburn can beat Georgia @home. Very well coached & talented Utah can beat the Ducks in the Pac12 Championship. Utah's bad loss to 4loss Usc hurts them though. Oklahoma can knock out Baylor this weekend but still lose @Oklahoma St or in the Big 12 Championship. And Ohio St & Clemson will more than likely win out but we'll see. So much more football to be played & remember thinking in 11 we have no chance after losing to y'all but upsets happened...

I was thinking something similar. If this crap ramps up again, it would be interesting to see O talk about forfeiting SECG. Why should we put our players at risk and give up more game film? Would be nice to have that extra time to prepare as well. There are obvious counterpoints to this, but an interesting thought nonetheless.
