The fact that they actually ranked schools in those conferences is a joke

I'm fully expecting them to change their minds and still play this season, albeit probably a couple of games shorter and finishing on almost Christmas Day.
Those donors are certainly calling their schools and threatening to not give any more money if this season isn't played. The pressure is building.

Yeah well, NO ONE will beat a big 10 team this season. Can the SEC say that? Blouses

SEC is very overrated in 2020, we will be lucky to win half our games.

Either you can't count or you don't know what teams are in the Big 10.
Probably both, honestly.
ETA: The article says "nine Big 10 and Pac 12 teams..."
So I guess you can't read either. Shocker!

I'm a little confused. I didn't count 9 Big 10 teams in the top 25. Am I missing something?

College football has become big money so they have to include the those teams so their fans will stay engaged. It's the same with these recruiting sites.

Say the three conferences play this year and have a BCS Champ game. I guarantee you THE Ohio State fans will claim they were the best in the land this year, if they had been allowed to play. They have won every game, that they never played.

It’ll be interesting to see if they continue to be ranked after the SEC, ACC and B12 start playing. Maybe the Big X and P12 will play virtual games.

More like what could have been. And don't lie, you'd say the same thing if the situation was reversed.

Teams not playing will not be ranked after the season starts. Here is their explanation:...................
The AP has asked its voters to consider all Division I teams when filling out their ballots, so the preseason poll is expected to include teams from conferences that have decided not to play this fall. After games begin, voters will rank only teams that are scheduled to play.
“The preseason poll has always been a speculative ranking of teams based on last year’s results and knowledge about the new makeup of teams,” said Michael Giarrusso, AP’s global sports editor. “This year, we think it is crucial to give all the teams and all their fans a snapshot look at what the Top 25 would have been to open the season.”
