Yeah my team may be worse than most G5 teams but at least Bama, Auburn, LSU and Florida win championships!!

Not what I'm saying. I'm talking historically and not rn. If Arkansas was in the Big 10 we'd have won 2 more games per year on average at the bare minimum. There's just so many cupcakes in that league.

What's the reason for UGA's success in recruiting? Is it the number and quality of GA athletes, or is it the lure of Athens as a college town?

Is that why Arky is 1-6 vs the joke of a conference Big Ten? You’re a half fricking Twit at best

Old fashioned hard work with a great product to sell brings the recruits in.

Surprised Bama can look that bad on defense and have more talent than anyone in the nation. OM probably has 5 and Duke may have 1.

Not that surprising when you consider how many true freshmen are starting for Bama.

Barry Alvarez took the Nebraska blueprint and installed it at Wisconsin, their walk-on program is tops. They know that state isn't rich in skills players like Dade County so they utilize their strength (Big Germans/Scandanavian types) which is their OL. A redshirt here and there, and not losing a great deal every year to the NFL draft produces results.

Florida with only 39 4/5 stars all while FSU and Miami are struggling is an embarrassment for them. McElwain and Mullen both have failed miserably in recruiting considering their potential.

Miami and FSU has 2 big name coaches up til the last 2 years . I would agree with you if these numbers are the same in 2 years. Miami and FSU just became dumpster fires.

The same thing could be said about Georgia not winning a championship in so long with all that in state talent.

God we have to recruit better...It's improved slightly under Mullen but not nearly enough.

I’d consider a Charger an insult if I’m a 5-star and the coach owns a Mercedes dealership.

Not if it's an SRT you wouldn't.

Wisconsin only has 2 4-star players on their entire defense and are currently the top defense in advance metrics.

That's nuts. Some really top notch coaching there.

Jim Leonard has advanced from being a "real coach on the field" to a real coach on the field.

So. To paraphrase. On average when Arkansas plays a Big Ten team they get their asses kicked but if they played Big Ten teams nine times a season it would up their wins per year by two wins a season at a bare minimum.

BTW, Arkansas IS a cupcake.

Signing a bunch of 4 stars that won’t qualify to pump up the class ranking shouldn't count as recruiting better.

Why? OSU must be scared of him where he is at and have a chance to beat them this year.

Very true, but let's be honest, the Big 10 is shite and that helps a lot lol.

So, what's that say about Arkansas?

If we're being honest they are taking a bunch of white dudes the recruiting services never really see much who are just pure football players probably

Remember '95 Nebraska? They had tons of white dudes on their lines (both sides) and they dominated. I would bet not many of them were 5 stars out of HS because of their race.

Wisconsin recruits those types of guys I'd bet. I guarantee they are better athletes than the recruiting services give them credit for. I would bet Wisconsin's lines are really solid even though their linemen were likely not rated highly.

Teams should worry about developing players too. Wisconsin may not have recruiting ranking stars but they are top ten in players in the nfl. While re recruiting rankings is potential talent. Nfl players are actual talent

That’s why they are perennial top ten to 15 team. And for a long time

I would guess if they ever got that 4-5 star number to the 25 range plus their ability to develop nfl players with 3 stars and walk ons they would be a serious national title contender.
