Every single SEC school except maybe Missouri and Vandy are a top 20 tailgating location
And with Vandy you can have a great brunch at a restaurant in downtown Nashville and be dropped off by Uber at the game before hitting any of the bars downtown that night.
Nashville at night > a number of SEC cities which can remain nameless for now.

Lmao I literally lol'd at that. Have an upvote sir!
Went to the Bama/UT game this year and was fortunate to tailgate up on the hill where the white tent village was. It was an awesome time but I know what you mean when you talk about the slow corporate take over.
It was all sponsored by DISH Network and there was branded shite everywhere.
Hope it doesn't go full blast, unfortunately I think it will..

Lol at OM. If you like cold food with no grills, no music, having to conceal you alcohol, etc than sure. I see why the 60+ crowd enjoys it but otherwise hell no

This isn't a 247 article. It's an article about a WSN ranking that used trip advisor reviews and rain percentages to rank tailgates lol. I literally didn't know people did trip advisor for college football tailgating,

When I was at UGA we’d start 2 or 3 whole duroc hogs on Friday afternoon in trailer smokers on north campus at every tailgate…some we raised or you could buy them for nothing from the UGA meat lab. Somebody’s pledges or freshman would camp out and crime tape a 1/4 acre on Thursday night. We’d have enough beer and liquor for a cruise ship. The same batch of freshman would block off a few rows in the student section of 100 seats, also with crime tape and then 300 of us including dates would descend on the block by mid first quarter. Medical bags of Jack Daniels taped to the thigh we’d stumble out of the valley Sanford sit in and pass out at the tailgate. Wake up about 11 and walk downtown, with your date if she was woman enough. We didnt get around to clean up till Sunday noon and nobody gave us static. Things started to change when Knapp retired and Adams became President.
I haven’t been to a home game since Auburn in 2014. Like everything else I’m sure they’ve nanny’d the fun out of it now.

I am sure many have great tailgating today but it is harder to do properly today than it was 30 years ago.
It may have been weird for those handful of years under Adams, but our tailgating has never been more accessible/fun.
My senior year in 2017 was an absolute movie when it came to tailgating

Right, now were just making stuff up. Nothing about Kansas is great.

Could be...only do 2-3 games a season now instead of every home game and that makes a difference because tailgating properly is an art and you gotta practice to make it right.
from 1999-2006 I had a job trailer on East Campus Drive behind the Vet Lab with permanent power and a bathroom. Mine and about 4 other of our service trucks were on campus so much that we could park anywhere we liked but we would block off enough space around the trailer to park about 20 cars. We never had any sort of permission but the trailer had been there so long and we were around so much we just became fixtures LOL. That was the best tailgating experience ever because it was extremely convenient...I'd load the trailer up on Thursday and, depending who was in town, we would start Friday about Lunch and depending on how it went might be there until late Sunday evening. Campus police would come by and wave and would eat many times....they just assumed we were "allowed" to be there LOL. It was great. Could have made a fortune selling stuff but never did it because I figured that was a sure fire way to get run off. The University finally had me move that trailer and shortly after that I sold that business and have tailgated like normal folks since so that may be why it seems down. The crowd at Sanford Stadium now is the best its ever been and the first time I noticed it was in 2012.

Since 2012 or so we have parked at the east campus deck and it is OK but it ain't like it was on campus in the 80s and 90s when you could show up Friday around lunch, stake out a spot and set up just about anywhere on campus. It was a blast for normal fans then....even had RVs all over campus and it was a blast going from one to another....and folks selling all manner of stuff along the railroad tracks.
The in stadium crowd now though is heads and shoulders better than it ever was. It used to be a bunch of teachers and the like talking about what had happened that week back in Hahira and not paying attention to what was going on on the field. They would seriously ask people to sit down and keep the noise down...and not just a few of them but about 2/3s of the crowd. That started changing about 12 years ago but was really differenet around 2014 or so....
