It’s the same old song. We hear it every off season and then fall and reality happens and hits the Vols smack in the face.

You have never faced a year two Heupel led Tennessee team. Beating Dooley, Butch and Pruitt is nothing to write home about.

Wow UGA fans are so cocky now. You really think Tennessee can't beat the crap out of you once again??? You aren't shite. A bunch of five stars in a mediocre system led by an average walk on qb that feasted on a down SEC last year. The UGA that got blown out in the SECCG was what you look like against an actual healthy clicking offense.

Stetson Bennet is an average talent and your defense won't be nearly as good as last year. There is no such thing as a great CFB team with an average QB talent. UGA is going to lose multiple games this year looking at their schedule right now.

The Heisman winner had receivers, one with 1150 yards and the other with 1600, out with injuries. Otherwise, Georgia fans would be blasting Bennett.

Since OP didn't cite the article, I looked it up. This is how 247 ranked them. I'd argue a few but it's not a bad list. The SEC is loaded at QB.

1. Bryce Young (BAMA)
5. K.J. (ARK)
6. Hendon Hooker (VOLS)
8. Spencer Rattler (USC)
14. Will Rogers (State)
15. Will Levis (UK)
19. Jaxon Dart (OM)
20. Anthony Richardson (UF)

Because he isn’t a QB1. He’s an average QB on a team with great defensive depth. His only strength was knowing his limitations and never being asked to do much.

He’ll never be an NFL QB, but there definitely aren’t 25 college QBs better than him. Most of the guys on that list are pretty mediocre.

Now imagine Georgie Pickens playing the full game, and Bama doesn’t have the big advantage they had in the SECCG.

It sounds like you are bragging about not firing your head coach after one season.

I dont understand the significance of Heupels second year. Dooley, butch, and pruitt all got second years too.

Yet he has elite passer efficiency and QBR.

Leading a 4th q comeback in the national title game or destroying the opponent in a semi final? That ain’t too much for the mailman.

Lol

You couldnt be more wrong if you tried.

Stetson has beat out 3 QBs to earn QB1. And that QB1 position earned him orange bowl and national championship mvp honors.

He is an above average QB (top5 qb efficiency in the country) who can get the ball to all 3 levels efficiently. Even Aaron Murray struggled with the screen game.

Stetson's biggest flaw is not knowing his limitations. He is a gunslinger. He throws across his body. He throws after scrambles into zone coverage with DBs watching his eyes and targets.

And finally, he chucks the ball downfield every chance he gets against man coverage. It isnt yards after the catch which have him over 10 yards per attempt. He does have 4 deadly targets against man coverage and he puts the ball in position for the completion better than 95% of college QBs

Did he transfer? Is it possible? Yeah. It's possible. Is it "likely"? No.

Mind linking the list or just posting (who was on) it?

Here you go:
247

25. Payton Thorne, Michigan State
24. D.J. Uiagalelei, Clemson
23. Phil Jurkovec, Boston College
22. Kedon Slovis, Pittsburgh
21. Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland
20. Anthony Richardson, Florida
19. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
18. Quinn Ewers, Texas
17. Malik Cunningham, Louisville
16. Aidan O'Connell, Purdue
15. Will Levis, Kentucky
14. Will Rogers, Mississippi State
13. Cam Rising, Utah
12. Brennan Armstrong, Virginia
11. Sam Hartman, Wake Forest
10. Tyler Van Dyke, Miami
9. Devin Leary, NC State
8. Spencer Rattler, South Carolina
7. Grayson McCall, Coastal Carolina
6. Hendon Hooker, Tennessee
5. KJ Jefferson, Arkansas
4. Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma
3. Caleb Williams, USC
2. C.J. Stroud, Ohio State
1. Bryce Young, Alabama

There are several I could put Bennett ahead of on this list, and there are several SEC QBs, I think should be ranked higher.

6. Hendon Hooker (VOLS)

I like Hooker and think he will be very good, but I have to admit I am surprised he was ranked at #6. Vols have a good one, for sure.
