Dude has a below average arm but can hit a middle screen if the TE is open. He’s good for 200ish yards a game and throws 3 to 1 TDS to Ints. He rides the bench at 90% of D1 schools.

Below average arm that threw the ball 46 yards in the air for a TD against a covered WR in the National Championship game?

I get tired of having to correct your awful takes. They seem to come in bunches though, so maybe we can get them out of the way and you can talk a little about your own team for a change.

How many other SEC teams would Stetson even start for? The kid has moxie and poise, I'll give him that, but his obvious shortcomings wouldn't cut it on any team not named Alabama, UGA and i guess Ole Miss under Kiffin. Heupel could probably make him look pretty good as well, but i doubt he would beat out Hooker as the starter. The real star of that UGA offense is Bowers and the oline.

A play action pass is a gimmick play? I think I just found out what Tennessee's problem is.

I don't care. What does it matters? We aren't arguing he is great. We are arguing that he is a top 25 QB.

So in your mind he could not play for Vanderbilt, Texas A&M (Last season) LSU (last season) Florida (last season) Auburn (Last season) South Carolina (Last season) or Missouri?

You're saying that the QBs those teams had would have beaten out the Playoff MVP?

I'm not a Stetson hater, but dude, do you even watch the games? I love him (bought my son a jersey) but he's just not very good. We got the job done but Aaron Murray or even Fromm would have beaten Bama by 30-40 in that game.

You are asking a question that no one could ever truthfully answer.

UGA was 2nd to Bama in passing TDs in the first half (25).
UGA was 2nd to Ole Miss in rushing TDs in the first half (17).
UGA was 3rd in conference with 38.6 ppg.
UGA was 1st in conference with 6.98 yards per play.

The most important position in all of football (pro, college, and HS) is QB.
It is why Stetson is the reigning Orange Bowl and National Championship Game MVPs.

It damn well is when you have an all future NFL line protecting your QB at the college level. Half the stuff stetson gets away with at UGA wouldn't work on most teams.

Like i said, Tebow looked like an all world passer in the system and talent level that he was playing with and we all know his arm talent and delivery / release is mediocre at best.

Aaron Murray was great. But even he struggled in the screen game.

As weird as it is to say, there are things that Stetson can do that Murray couldnt do.

People knock stetsons arm (it is not an nfl arm). But getting the ball up and down is a skill. And one that Stetson is very good at.

It was good enough for 4-0 against the Vols and 2 national championships.

Im fine with that level mediocre.

If only he could have been as good as josh dobbs or herndon hooker, amirite?

Dohbs is still in the NFL the ultimate proven ground for QB talent....where is Tebow???? Hooker will have a better career as well.

You really think Dobbs wouldn't have won a Heisman at Florida under urban meyer? He single handedly made Butch Jones look like a good coach.

Some of you forget that football is a TEAM sport.

No one would barely even remember Tebow's name had he played for Vanderbilt or someone.

And you could say the same about Young and Stroud and just about any other QB that plays behind a good OLine. Didn't Hooker play behind a Line with 2-3 %* and a couple of 4*? Maybe he isn't as good as you think....it was his OLine.

Yet won a Heisman. His arm talent was excellent in college. just didn't translate to the NFL. It doesn't dampen his accomplishments at all in college. And I'll say two things again.

1. If Bennett accomplishes what Tebow accomplished I will be ecstatic.
2. We are not arguing Bennett is great. Just that he is a top 25 college QB.

You don't seem capable of understanding that.

Ok. Lol
Do you want to compare their nfl stats? Playoff records?

Hell... i will say that Dobbs 10 completions and 1 INT is better than Tim Tebow's NFL career. But i will remind you that this isnt the more sports board (and that you are a moron for even entertaining that dobbs should be compared to tebow).

How many seasons did Tebow last there again? He only got a starting chance as a pure novelty act because of his fame nothing else.

NONE of his nfl teammates wanted him as a starter because of his BS religious antics that grown men were smart enough to see through for the massive attention whoring that it was. I'm still not convinced he isn't in the closet. Biggest diva and drama queen that the SEC has ever seen. Mediocre arm talent with a piss poor release as well.

I won't. Tebow won a couple of playoff games as a starter.

Dobbs NFL:
Att 17 Comp 10 YA 2.6 0TD 1INT 0 starts

Tebow NFL career:
Att 192 Comp 408 YA 9.6 19TD 9INT 18Starts
It would only be fair to point out that Tebow's stats include the 2 playoff games he played in and won. He also took a 1-3 Denver team and led them to the playoffs.

If NFL is the proving ground, I would take Tebow over Dobbs.

3 which is more than josh dobbs.
35 games to 6 for Dobbs

Tim Tebow has a playoff win.
Do you want a list of all of the tennessee QBs whose skill and talent (anything other than novelty) couldnt win an nfl playoff game?

What antics was that? I mean, he would kneel in the end zone after scoring? You really think that is worse than what players do in the end zone these days? Seriously?

Dude.

Bama lost a more productive player in the SECCG than Pickens, and still blew out Georgia. Pickens played fewer snaps in the NC game than the SECCG, so Georgia didn't play him more intentionally. I assume they preferred the multiple TE formations. The guy never had over 750 yards in a season anyway.

What are your excuses for the aTm and Auburn games? Auburn vs Alabama 2021 We beat the shite out of Auburn, a team you almost, and should have, lost to. Some of you Bammers are the most classless, worst losers in CFB. You got beat by better teams. Deal with it and STFU.
