And we have a loaded class coming in this year... Losing very few seniors.

How are we in trouble?

#5 most talented team and y'all suck.....

Also, fire Miles and your class will collapse.

Not necessarily true if the right hire is made in a timely manner. If this thing drags on until Christmas then we're fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.

You still new to identify needs. If you recruit a ton of 5* WRs, that does nothing for your DL, and shitty QB play. So rankings can only tell part of the story.

This is where you're wrong. Les has never done anything for the program either his players, assistants, or Saban did everything for him.

We are also losing our most talented Junior on D. Unless our new coach brings a D-Line, a few linebackers and a QB with him, we may very well be in trouble.

That's true. In fact, 5-star recruits don't even have to be recruited. They just come to LSU because they're from Louisiana and always have. They fall right into your lap. And they're so good that a retarded monkey could coach them and still win a national championship every year.

Truth i think I'm gonna email my resume to Alleva. It's so simple. I invested in some kind of fruit company once and since I'm a multigojillionare and all i will do it for free.

You have to understand that they are LSU. They can put anyone at coach and win the Natty. They have always dominated college football and cannot be stopped, especially because college football didn't exist before 2000.

Or maybe they should be really, really careful what they wish for because it is a lot easier to fall than to rise in the SECW. LSU has absolutely struck gold twice in a row on coaching hires. Saban was a good coach at MSU but no one saw him becoming the God that he is now. Miles was good at OSU but he ended up being the perfect match to follow up Saban in Death Valley. LSU is way overdue for another Curley Hallman.

LSU is possibly in trouble because of the imbalance on the roster created by bad recruiting strategy.

1. No SEC quality linebackers. It doesn't look good when your one returning linebacker with some stars, Jones, was trucked on national TV by a slow white Alabama QB, and I mean TRUCKED.

2. DL questions. No depth, LSU is playing DEs bulked up to play DT but only barely adequate. They were routinely steamrolled which cause Lsu to ROUTINELY bring a safety down in run support...and still couldn't stop anyone.

3. OL lack of depth, age, and quality...will be too young to dominate which will negate the good RBs and ruin QB play. It is hard have a really good OL with 3 sophmores and two freshmen starting.

4. QB - BH was going to be the next coming of Vince Vance and the Valiants. Nope, "he is who everyone (except LSU fans) thought he would be." ... which was the 9th best QB in the 2014 class.

5. WR - lots of theoretical talent here but bad passing, bad scheme has WR dropping balls like they are grenades.

6. Secondary - LSU was dropping at least one, sometimes two safties into the box on many plays in the last three games and still couldn't stop the run even then. That opened the secondary to passing. It wasn't "Steele's zone defense," it was the need to use secondary personnel to try to stop the run.. because the LBs and DL sucked.

How is a freshman recruiting class going to fix all those question marks? Well, they are the product of bad recruiting balance and decisions the last 3 years.

But maybe it will all work out. Good luck with your expectations.

I'm not saying you in particular are guilty of this, but I love how the view on Miles has done a complete 180. It's impressive.

When I first joined this site in 2011, LSU fans believed Miles was the best coach in the country and clearly better than Saban

But we're unranked.

We finished last year unranked too.

So what exactly did he get us?

Debo is a senior and Beckwith is by far our best LB'er. Damn it man, you made a good point about the lack of quality linebackers, but just don't add in ignorance to water down your post.
